AMDhas said it intends to launch its upcoming RDNA 3 graphics cards on November 3. WithNvidia recently discussing the launch of its RTX 4090 GPU, as well as the 4080, these two giants of the tech industry will once again be locked in battle for graphical supremacy. Anyone who’s been waiting in the wings for the next generation of hardware to come forth won’t have long to wait now, and it looks like some pretty powerful tech is inbound.
In a bid to make itself stand out from the competition,AMD has said its RDNA 3 range will offer more efficiency, though the architecture will still be able to go up against Nvidia in the power department. As the technology advances, so too do the GPUs that power many gamer’s machines. With the market now looking much healthier, after nearly two years of product shortages and price hikes that have plagued this current generation, there will no doubt be enthusiasts who will be looking to see what the benchmark tests show from both teams.

This latest announcement comes from senior vice president and general manager atAMDRadeon, who urged people on Twitter to “save the date” for November 3, in which the company will be looking to “launch RDNA 3 to the world.” Many are expecting team red to reveal the RX 7000 series, though at the time of writing, the naming system doesn’t appear to have been confirmed. In any case, the next generation of GPUs is fast approaching, so no doubt there will be more details to follow as the days and weeks go by.
Of course, it isn’t just Nvidia that AMD needs to keep an eye on.Intel is expected to launch its Arc graphics cards soonafter what has been a long delay. There were even rumors that Intel would be canceling its range of GPUs, but things seem to be moving forward for the tech giant. However, this first iteration of Arc cards is looking more like current tech than new-gen, so it’s likely the other two won’t have much to worry about.
Given thatNvidia’s RTX 4090 will likely be much faster that its RTX 3090 Ti, the pressure is on forAMDto make a good impression by the time RDNA 3 launches. Competition is only going to get more fierce, but it sounds like both companies will have something pretty interesting to offer for gamers and enthusiasts very soon.
