Not everyone is fortunate enough to own their own Nintendo Switch. In some cases, several people play games on the same system and subsequently share a copy of the same title, meaning that multiple save files are required. Unfortunately, playingAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswith multiple accounts on one cartridge was difficult, as the game only supported one island per console with progress connected to one account. This meant that only one person could enjoy the complete gameplay experience, while others playing on that copy of the game were forced to play with fewer features. Fans became so disgruntled with the lack of separate save data that some evenreview bombedAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsafter launch.
