The glitch in question was discovered by the community and allows players to plant trees on the very edge of cliffs. This leads to some new and unique island designs that can’t really be achieved through normal play. The glitch lets players not only plant trees on the very edge of cliffs, but also lets players have trees grow on 1 x 1 cliff blocks. Naturally, this is something that isn’t normally allowed during gameplay. Performing the glitch involves messing with terraforming to create angled cliffs and slowly whittling the cliff down in a specific way until the tree rests right on the edge of the cliff. Players have created some trulycreative island maps inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, and this glitch will certainly help players even more.
Some calls in the community are asking for Nintendo toimplement a soft reset feature inNew Horizons, so players can shake things up and redesign their islands from scratch. Yet, other players are still finding new ways to shape the game to their standards, as is evident through many players experiments with this tree glitch. For now, Nintendo has yet to patch the glitch out of the game, but there is really no telling if or when Nintendo will make it impossible for players to perform this glitch in the future.
As mentioned before,New HorizonsSummer Update added new featuresthat brought back many players who had taken a break from the game for one reason or another. WithNew Horizonsapproach to updates the game will hopefully be able to stay fresh and exciting for many more months or even years to come. Regardless, the community surroundingNew Horizonswill find surely find new and inventive ways to enjoy their island lives.
