Animal Crossing: New Horizonsadded a number of new customization options and features to the series, but one of the most popular may be the DIY crafting mechanic. Players can discover DIY recipes scattered across the island and learn the contents, which opens up more crafting options. OneAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayer has brought this approach to DIY crafting into the real world by creating a real-life DIY card, complete with the bottle it floated in on.

Every day, one message in a bottle will wash up on the shores of the island, containing a letterand a DIY recipe. If players do not pick up the bottle, two may spawn the following day. DIY recipes can also be obtained in a variety of other ways, including as gifts from villagers or purchased from Nook’s Cranny.

Reddit user Bubbiboo shared pictures of their attempt at recreating one ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizons' DIY cards, still contained within a bottle. The bottle is a small, rounded glass structure plugged with a thick cork, much like the in-game bottles that can wash up on the beach. Inside, a detailed recreation of a DIY card can be seen. The first photo shows the back of the card, complete with the iconic acorn design, while the second photo shows the actual DIY recipe.

The DIY card Bubbiboo selected for this project is for the Star Wand, one ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizons' many tools. The Star Wand allows players to access their saved outfits and the in-game recipe can be received from the owl villager Celeste. Crafting this item in-game requires one Large star fragment and three Star fragments, which the real-life version faithfully shows as well. According to Bubbiboo, they had to fold the card in half like a hot dog in order to get it into the bottle. Fortunately, the card doesn’t show any wrinkles or creases in the photographs, though it does curve slightly.

As of writing, it appears that other fans are impressed by Bubbiboo’s creation. Almost every user who replied remarked on how cute the creation ended up being. Several users specifically stated that the bottle was adorable, with one user even asking where Bubbiboo had found it. Apparently, Bubbiboo tracked down the bottle at Hobby Lobby, sootherAnimal Crossingfanslooking to create their own DIY recipe message in a bottle know where to start looking.
