Reddit user masabow1018 posted a few screenshots of their wonderful remake ofResident Evil Village, showing off some fairly faithful representations of the game’s bosses. Masabow led the post off with a very accurate Heisenberg, donned in his black hat, sunglasses, and trench coat, and standing among robots and rockets to represent the creations from his lab.Resident Evil Village’sDonna and Angie, the spooky puppet and puppeteer, also make an appearance, using doll props and Mabel and Sable’s shop as a makeshift version of their creepy home.
Obviously, itwouldn’t beResident Evil Villagewithout Lady Dimitrescu, and masabow did a great job of recreating the vampire mom. Not only did they accurately depict her long dress and huge black hat, but they went as far as to alter theirAnimal Crossingcharacter to be pale-skinned and yellow-eyed. The additional details of statues and skeletons in the background, and the picture being taken at night, certainly helps to make the overall atmosphere feel more likeResident Evil Village.
It’s always inspiring to see fan creations in games, and there is something wonderful about the juxtaposition ofResident Evil Village’sgloomy locations being recreated inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons.WithDoom EternalandNew Horizonsbeing linked by their shared release date, this isn’t the first time that fans have connected theAnimal Crossingfranchise with a totally opposing genre of game. With the popularity ofVillageand Lady Dimitrescu, it’s likely there will be a lot more fan-made content coming out ofNew Horizons, especially now that masabow has put out their interpretation of the game.
