The recent announcement of a newFire Emblemgame,Fire Emblem Engage, has fans exalted as it is all set to be the new mainline game, as opposed tothe recentFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.

The game’s overarching plot takes place in the land of Elyos, where players will have to fight to defeat a Fell Dragon. The main character will have assistance from heroes from olderFire Emblemtitles who can be summoned by using the Emblem Rings. Sigurd, the Prince of Calphy, first appeared in the legendaryFire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, as the main lord. He is quite unique in the sense that he was the very first Lord to wield a lance and be a Cavalry, which contrasts the usual sword-wielding Lord type which came before him and will come after him. Sigurd will surely bean incredible addition toFire Emblem Engage.
10Lucina
Lucina is an important character that appeared inFire Emblem: Awakening. As the daughter of Chrom, she travels to the past under the guise of the Hero King Marth to avoid a grim future from happening due to Grima, a Fell Dragon. Just like her father, she wields the Falchion, and holds the brand of the exalt on her left eye, also known as the gift of Naga.

Lyn, from her full name Lyndis, is the leader of the Lyndis legion and one of the three main characters inFire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. Originating from humble beginnings, Lyn knows little about noble manners and the such, but she is still a polite young woman who takes pride in her Sacae heritage. Fans are sure to enjoy her character in the upcomingFire Emblemgame.

8Celica
Celica, from her real name of Princess Anthiese, is one of two main characters inFire Emblem: Gaiden, and its remake,Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. She was born as a Princess to the Zofia Kingdom, with a mark on her right hand. After Desaix set ablaze their home to instigate a coup against the King, Mycen managed to save Celica and take her to safety. She is then raised in a Monastery before setting out on a quest to find Mila.
7Byleth
Byleth, in this case, male Byleth, is the main character inFire Emblem: Three Houseswho acts as a war instructor at the Garreg Mach Monastery. Having to choose between one of the Three Houses to instruct and help develop, Byleth assists one of the 3 three Lords. He grows and learns more about himself and his connection to the Goddess Sothis.InFire Emblem Engagefans will surely rejoice to see him again.

Corrin, in this case, female Corrin, is the main character in the gameFire Emblem: Fates. She starts off as a Princess of the Nohr Kingdom. She is faced with a choice between Hoshido, her supposed blood family, or Nohr, the family she was raised with as the two Kingdoms are at odds. Being able to transform into a Dragon and wielding the Yato, Corrin is a very powerful character who will make her return inFire Emblem Engage.

Chrom is the main Lord inFire Emblem: Awakeningand the Prince of Ylisse, as well as the leader of the Shepherds. His story begins after he finds a sleeping Robin, with whom he grows a very close relationship and fights as well. He wields the legendary Falchion, a sword passed down from the Hero King Marth himself. Kind and honorable, Chrom is one of the most well-knownFire Emblemcharacters.
4Leif
Leif Faris Claus is the main protagonist inFire Emblem: Thracia 776and appears inFire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Before the fall of Leonster, he was the Leonster Prince but soon after, he was forced to flee and go into hiding. In the immediate future, he leads the liberation and becomes King. Being very self-critical, Leif carries a lot of guilt that he overcomes during the game.
