Based on how each character is aware of a similar incidence, the story follows each individual equally and displays how their stories intertwine to form a bigger plot thread.

A fantastical storyabout a fountain of youth, immortal alchemists, crooks, and outlaws. This anime is an adaptation of three novellas, all of which take place during the years 1930 and 1932, but at different times. The order of scenes that take place during the same timeframe is muddled up at times, and on occasion, they even run into one another.
The ensuing non-linear plot is not only entertaining but also satisfies the eye of the viewer. Characters and plots that feature in each of these tales have some link to the immortality formula and the individuals who have used it in some way, and that connection is shown in the tales.
1Natsume’s Book Of Friends
Natsume, the title character inNatsume’s Book of Friends, is a loner who stands out from the crowd due to his extraordinary capacity to converse with the dead. But, as Natsume rapidly realizes, he is not alone; his grandmother Reiko was also gifted. Things get out of hand when Natsume discovers he too has the “Book of Friends,” which lists all the spirits Reiko has defeated and restrained.
When he discovers that his grandmother’s henchmen are looking for him, he summons a “cat” charm spirit to rescue them from the Book and preserve it from anyone who would abuse its power.
