Building an audience on Twitch can be a real challenge, but it doesn’t take much to lose them. This realization is likely setting in for one Twitch streamer named KD1PP, who was recently banned from bothCall of Duty Black Ops: Cold WarandCall of Duty: Warzoneback-to-back on the same stream. Both of these incidents happened mid game and while the streamer was live in front of his audience. Though it isn’t uncommon to seestreamers banned mid-stream, this is certainly a rare occasion for it to happen twice in the same stream.

For those that don’t know, bothCall of Duty Black Ops: Cold WarandCall of Duty: Warzonehave struggled with an influx of hackers and cheaters. Particularly on PC, it’s just too easy to use hacks to gain an advantage. Thankfully, Activision has made strides in cheater detection, and has been passing out bans in droves. It seems as though KD1PP was a victim of this latest push to weed out cheaters.

It should be said thatviewers don’t really know the true cause for his ban. From both KD1PP and the viewer’s perspective, all that is known is that he was disconnected and subsequently banned from both games. Whether or not this was due to the use of cheats like an aim bot or wall hack or if it was spurred on by a content unlocker or something similar remains unknown. It also may be that he wasn’t cheating at the moment of his ban but rather was caught by Activision in a previous match, as there’s no incriminating evidence in the clip of his ban.

As the videos above show, KD1PP immediately switched over toCall of Duty Black Ops: Cold Warafter being banned onCall of Duty: Warzone, but it didn’t take long for the ban hammer to find him again and he was banned a second time on the same day. In the comments of this tweet, KD1PP actually does make a statement, but doesn’t address the bans at all. Instead, he simply advertises his next stream. When askedwhy he uses cheats in a game likeCall of Duty, he denies the claims nonchalantly, stating that he is playing on PS5 and can’t use hacks of any sort.

Unfortunately, viewers may never get the full story, but it seems that at the very leastActivision thinks he was cheating. Although the ban fromCold Warsays it is permanent, there’s no telling how long these bans will last and whether or not KD1PP will return to streamingCall of Duty.Regardless, most can agree that two bans in one day is certainly a site to behold.
