Call of Duty Mobilehas found success by merging elements from eachCoDgame into one collection of content, and the latest content teased for the game shows that mentality going a bit further. If recent developer teases can be believed, night mode is on the way forCoD Mobile’s battle royale mode.
This is not the onlyCall of Dutybattle royale with a night mode in development, however, as numerous leaks have appeared online for anight version of theWarzonemap. TheWarzonenight mode would supposedly be pitch black and require the use of the game’s night vision goggles. While theCall of Duty Mobileversion will likely be less complex, it could very easily beatModern Warfareto the punch in its release.

Within a post discussing the newest season ofCoD Mobilecontent, the not-so-subtle night mode tease for battle royale can be found. While the team admits in the post that there is not quite as much content in season 10 as there was in season 9, the long-awaitedarrival of the Terminal map is confirmed. While the map finally coming (and getting a 24/7 playlist) is exciting, the real tease lies within the comments of the post.
Reddit user Call_Me_OniiChan has the top comment on the post, thanking the team for the “awesome content” in the game before asking the question numerousCoD Mobilefans have wanted answers to for some time. The user directly asks the team if there are “any plans for night mode MP and BR maps,” and they are met with an equally direct response. Rather than a drawn out, detailed reply like the officialCoD Mobileaccount usually provides, the team simply said “yes.” Whether that yes is regardingmultiplayer maps like Gunfight’s Pine, the battle royale map, or both is unclear.
Night versions of maps are a popular addition within first person shooters, as the darker locales provide a far different feel from the more common well-lit maps. Fans have been especially hungry for official information on the darkened version of the Warzone map, with dedicatedfans even recreating what it could look like. The short response affirming the player request forCoD Mobilenight maps was all that has been said on the topic thus far, with no details given on when nighttime maps could be coming to the mobile game.
Until nighttime maps come to the game, players can practicemasteringCoD Mobile’s Operator Skills. If they do, players will be more than ready when things get a bit darker on the maps of the game.
