Activision has released details about theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareHalloween event that starts tomorrow. The Haunting of Verdansk event will feature several updates to Verdansk, with newWarzonemodes, Trick or Treat rewards, andHalloween-themed bundles.Call of Duty: Modern Warfaremultiplayer will also feature several spooky changes and new game modes.
TheCall of Duty: Modern WarfareHalloween event will run through November 3, with two new game modes coming to mark the occasion. Onslaughter mode will have players secure ajuggernaut suitthat is dropped on the map. After one team secures the juggernaut, they will then have to move to a goal area, which will be defended by the other team. The juggernaut will wield the signature mini-gun, but will also wear a jack-o-lantern instead of the usual giant helmet. All juggernauts during the Halloween event will have the jack-o-lantern head, but the Onslaughter mode is guaranteed to have one every round.

Snipers Only returns as the other game mode featured in the Halloween Event. Although the mode itself is not exactly Halloween-themed, there is potential to find spooky Halloween decorations in the multiplayer maps. Snipers Only mode will allow players to choose from five-pre builtsniper loadouts, so it will be interesting to see the combination of attachments and equipment in each loadout.
Throughout the event, players will notice changes to various aspects of any multiplayer playlist. In multiplayer modes, players' heads will turn into jack-0-lanterns after earning three kills in one life. If players achieve ten kills in one life, the jack-o-lantern head lights on fire. The flaming jack-o-lantern will be easy to see, so players can either target the dominating player or run for their lives at the sight of the flaming pumpkin.
Other multiplayer game modes will also have spooky effects. InDomination mode, flags will now appear as scarecrows, and dog tags in Kill Confirmed will appear as skulls. There will also be other visual effects that pop up in multiplayer, so fans will have to try all the modes to find all the spooky changes inModern Warfare.
With the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dr. Karlov, and Saw bundles, players can become terrifying horror characters from movies andCall of Dutylore. These characters add to the scary interactions that may occur during the Halloween event, whether it be jump scares from Trick or Treat rewards, orzombies chasing players through Verdansk. The Halloween event will change Verdansk and multiplayer maps into haunted battlefields filled with spooky characters and decorations.
