Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers are always looking to keep up with the game’s meta, and while many felt they had it figured out, things have now changed. The latest update forCall of Duty: Warzonehas seen the game’s TTK altered significantly, with NICKMERCS claiming to have already found the best Assault Rifle for this new era.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s huge TTK updatehas seen nearly every weapon getting lower minimum and maximum damage stats. A direct result of community complaints where fans said they were dying too quickly, this patch been described as the start of a full TTK rework by Raven. Gamers have already noticed a significant change, asCall of Duty: Warzoneis feeling more like a battle royale game again as opposed to a multiplayer experience. According to NICKMERCS, though, one specific weapon remains “broken.”

NICKMERCS believes gamers should usethe C58 Assault Riflethat was added inCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarSeason 4. While the weapon started off incredibly weak in bothCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarandCall of Duty: Warzone, it has been given new life in the latter thanks to this TTK update. According to NICKMERCS, gamers should equip the C58 sooner rather than later, as he feels like it will soon “take over Warzone.” He adds that it is the best “long-distance gun” currently available.

Like withNICKMERCS’ otherCall of Duty: Warzoneloadouts, he shows his C58 attachments after the gun breakdown and before showing off some gameplay of the weapon. First, he recommends the Agency Suppressor. The equivalent of the Monolithic Suppressor forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, this has always been a must-have attachment for theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warweaponry. NICKMERCS also recommends the 18.5” Task Force barrel, helping the gun become as dominant at range as possible.

With the gun being so strong at range, NICKMERCS pushesCall of Duty: Warzoneplayersto use something with even more magnification than the Axial Arms 3x. Specifically, he recommends the Royal and Kross 4x Optic. The always-solid Field Agent Grip is used to help with accuracy, while the attachment lineup is capped off with a STANAG 55 Rnd magazine in the Ammunition slot. With NICKMERCS saying that this build reminds him of the “pre-nerf AMAX,” he clearly seems confident in the setup.

As of now, it remains to be seen ifNICKMERCS’ Rebirth Island loadoutwill also be altered due to the Season 4 Reloaded changes. For now, though, it seems like the C58 should be at the top of the list for those making a Verdansk-focused class.
