Call of Duty: Vanguardwill have its full reveal soon, but in the meantime, Activision has been teasing the World War 2-themed game with brief teaser trailers. Naturally,Call of Dutyfans have been tearing these trailers apart, analyzing them for any possible clues that they may be hiding. Thanks to these efforts,Call of Dutyfans have found a possible connection between the upcomingVanguardgame and theModern Warfaretitles.

Eagle-eyedCall of Dutyfans noticed an emblem in theCall of Duty: Vanguardteaser trailerthat resembles the Task Force 141 emblem from theModern Warfareseries, though it’s labeled Task Force Vanguard instead. This has led to speculation that there may be a connection betweenCall of Duty: VanguardandCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, and while that has yet to be confirmed, it could be possible through the inclusion of one character in particular.

WhileCaptain Priceis most heavily associated with Task Force 141 and theModern Warfaregames, he actually made hisCall of Dutydebut in the World War 2-era games. As some may recall, a Captain Price is featured prominently in the originalCall of Dutygame as well as its sequel, the aptly namedCall of Duty 2. This Price is not the same character as the Price featured in theModern Warfaregames, for obvious reasons, but they do look near-identical.

Perhaps this is a sign that the World War 2 version of Captain Price will be making a comeback inCall of Duty: Vanguard, though that seems highly unlikely. The more likely explanation is that this is just a nod to Task Force 141 without any real connection. All fans can do is speculate for now, as they’ll have to wait forActivision to giveCall of Duty: Vanguardits proper revealbefore they can learn more.

WhileCall of Duty: Vanguardis still waiting for its big showcase, there have been many leaks about the game and what it will entail.Call of Duty: Vanguardis clearly set during World War 2, and if leaks are to be believed, it will have significant integration withCall of Duty: Warzone. Some reports have pointed to this integration including abrand new World War 2-themedWarzonemap, but that has yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, leakers have been hyping upCall of Duty: Vanguard, though whether or not it lives up to the hype remains to be seen. After the game’s reveal takes place later this week, fans will likely have to wait a bit before they get their hands on it, and then they’ll have a much better idea of what to expect from it.
