These stories of prowess can then spread around the world, raising the legitimacy of a ruler or their descendants. Legitimacy is a new mechanic introduced by the DLC and rulers with high Legitimacy will havean easier time controlling vassalsand claiming titles, on top of many other boons.
2Battle Disease & Watch The Black Death Completely Warp The Game
Recent additions toCK3have somewhat made the game easier, withnew ways to gain prestigeand influence.Legends of the Dead, however, will remind players of the fragile nature of human mortality by adding deadly plagues and other diseases.
While most diseases will spawn at random and spread without any regard for borders, other diseases such as dysentery will rise among the ranks of armies, adding a new dynamic to war. In the later stages of the game, the Black Death will inevitably strike and change the course of nature forever. Regardless of rank, skill, or genetics, death will claim countless souls and destroy realms from within. Rising from the ashes will present a new challenge for even the most veteran players.
3A More Fleshed-Out Travel System With Unique Events

Wandering Noblesis a small event pack arriving at the end of 2024, and it aims to further flesh out the travel system introduced in 2023. On top of a whole host of new travel events and flavor, this DLC pack will be the first to add a new Lifestyle named Wanderer, complete with three new lifestyle trees.
On top of there being three newlifestyle traitsto eventually pick up, each tree will unlock a unique traveling activity, with surveyors inspecting their lands, voyagers heading off to see exotic sights, and wayfarers simply looking for adventures to spin into tales.

Crusader Kings 3depicts a wide variety of medieval culturesand societies, and the Byzantine Empire with all its nuances has previously not received the attention and love it deserves. WithRoads to Power, however, that all changes. Not only can players expect a more accurate system portraying how the empire and region were run, but they will also be presented with a boatload of Byzantine flavor.
From activities such as chariot racing and a new throne room to themed UI and imperial fashion, the full might of the Byzantine Empire will be on display.
5Rise Through The Imperial Ranks As An Administrator
One of the many features to be added in theRoads to PowerDLC is the ability to play as a landless administrator within the Byzantine Empire and compete for the respect and patronage of the emperor, all while managing a family estate.
Players can scheme their way up an intricate web or display their competence with the effective governing of the provinces within the empire. There are no limits on how high players can aim for and this will in some ways feel like a completely new game.
6Travel The World As A Landless Adventurer
Arguably the most exciting aspect of theRoads to PowerDLC, especially for players less interested in the Byzantine aspect, is the upcoming ability to travel the world as a landless adventurer. No longer tied down to a title or any duties, players will be able to take on contracts, fight in tournaments, and pretty much playa medieval RPG.
In doing so, players will gain gold, prestige, and more importantly, a reputation, all of which might one day enable them to lay claim to a title. Naturally, this will make for the best rags-to-riches playthroughs, but it will also make for some incredible stories of redemption as rulers who are deposed now have a second chance.
