The image includes a note that says fans will learn more on November 8. The immediate thought many fans have had is that the teaser is meant to point to a new killer coming toDead by Daylight, with one of the more popular guesses being Chucky fromChild’s Play. If it’s not Chucky, many fans also think that the newDead by Daylightkiller will actually be Springtrap fromFive Nights at Freddy’s. Chucky is currently featured in his own well-reviewed horror series, whileFive Nights at Freddy’shas proven to be a big hit at the box office, so both would make sense as potential newDBDkillers.
Another theory is that this image isn’t teasing a new killer, but rather new content forHalloweenkiller Michael Myers, who is already part of theDead by Daylightroster as The Shape. The kitchen knife is Myers' signature weapon, and while it’s used by both Chucky throughout his series and by Springtrap in theFNAFmovie, it’s definitely more associated with theHalloweenbrand.
