Dead Island 2features different types of objectives, from main story missions,side quests, and the optional Lost and Found missions. There are also locked chests, safes, and other boxes that require a specific key to open. These lockboxes almost serve as mini-quests since the keys can be earned in different ways.
Some keys require being in a certainDead Island 2mission, defeating a random enemy nearby, backtracking after progressing deeper in the story, or beating a specially named zombie.The Skate Things Safe Keyrequires the latter but is not much of a challenge. This guide will show players where the Skate Things Safe Key can be exactly found, where the Skate Things Store Safe is located, and what players can expect to earn from unlocking the safe.

The Skate Things Store Safe is located at the Skate Things shop in the Venice Beach area ofDead Island 2. There is an entire row of stores just south of the Blue Crab Grill, where thefast travelpoint is, and the Skate Things store would be at the most northern part of the chain.
The front of the store is all boarded up, but players can go through the alleyway on the right side of the building. There is a broken door in the back where players can crouch-walk through to get inside. The safe will be wedged into the wall behind the store’s main counter.
There are no requirements to do beforehand before getting the necessary key for the store safe.The Skate Things Safe Key can be earned by defeating a zombie named Ollie located at the playground in Venice Beach. The appropriately named Ollie is nota specialDead Island 2zombieand requires no specific tactics to beat.
Ollie will be standing in the middle of the playground on the beach but still close to the row of stores. His location is marked on theVenice Beachmap above. The Skate Things Safe Key will drop from his body once killed.
Players can then open the safe, which rewards with a random weapon that may be better than what players currently carry or can find around the environment.
