The Entertainment District arc ofDemonSlayercame to a close after an intense finale. The arc was heavily focused on two demons who were terrorizingthe Entertainment District. Tengen Uzui had sent his three wives to find out more about they originally believed to be just one demon, however, he ended up losing contact with them.
So, Tengen had to recruit Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu to help him out. Once the boys went undercover, it took them a considerable amount of time to draw out the demon. It wasn’t surprising that one of the demons was a woman, named Daki, and she was a member of the Upper-Rank Six. But, how strong was Daki in comparison to the previous villains inDemon Slayer?
Her Role In The Arc
Tengen was worried about the safety of his three wives and in order to find out about them, he needed the help of the three demon slayers. Finding information about the demon was not easy, so the three had to risk blowing their cover. The risk paid off as they managed to draw out Daki, who had taken the disguised herself of a human.

Daki’s ruthless personalityearned her praise of Muzan, who believed that she was destined for great things. Given Daki’s positive relationship with Muzan, the demon overlord asked her to finish off Nezuko. Daki was more than willing to oblige to Muzan’s demands as he stroked her ego by calling her a “special demon,” who had killed seven Hashira.
Daki and Her Obi
As a member ofthe Upper-Rank Six, Daki was extremely powerful. She was much more powerful than the regular demons. Her physical abilities were on a completely different level in comparison to some demons that Tanjiro and co. had faced. Daki was immune to decapitation when her brother was attached to her core. This was shown when Tengen decapitated her, and she showed no signs of disintegrating. Her regenerative abilities were super impressive considering she was wounded several times during the battle. In addition to her impressive physical abilities, Daki also had the power to use her Obi as weapon. She was able to control them freely because they were made out of flesh. With the help of her Obi, Daki was able to keep the young demon slayers at an arm’s length. Zenitsu and Inosuke could barely damage her as they struggled to get close to her.

Daki could also turn her neck into an Obi, which made it extremely difficult for Zenitsu to decapitate her. Since the Obi was the extension of her own flesh, Daki could use it to keep a watch on her surroundings. When Inosuke found the storage, where Daki had stored humans the Obi was shown to have sentience, and it was taking orders from Daki. The Obi Demon was not strong, but it was able to give Inosuke a great deal of trouble. It took Tengen’s intervention to free all the trapped people.
Daki’s Cruelty
Daki had been living in Yoshiwara for many years and over time, she had grown to be an arrogant, vain, and heinous demon. Throughout the arc, she was shown to be a character who did not like humans talking back to her. Daki would hurt young girls, who were sloppy in their work or committed the smallest of mistakes. When Zenitsu tried to stop her, Daki simply slapped him, which knocked him out for some time. Daki could not stand to see other people being happy due to her hateful nature, so she would try to hurt them in any way possible.

In comparison to the other villains from the previous arcs, Daki is on a different level when it comes to being cruel. She has killed humans without remorse, and she is capable of holding a grudge for a long time. Daki’s short temperament is another reason for her opponents to fear her as with one flick of the switch, she can turn into a demon, who will not stop until the person or the object has been destroyed. Daki was obsessed with beauty and if she saw a beautiful human, she immediately grew the need to eat them. With the help of her Obi, Daki would trap her prey and store them inside the Obi. This allowed Daki to consume the trapped people at her leisure.
Was She Really Strong?
Daki was stronger than most demons, but she was not strong enough to be a member of the Upper-Rank Six. As the arc progressed, it became clear that Daki did not have enough strength to fight against a Hashira, and Muzan’s comments about her killing seven Hashira were untrue. In fact, Muzan was referring to her brother, Gyutaro, who was extremely strong. He was able tooverwhelm Tengen Uzuiwithout much effort, and it took the combined effort of Tengen and Tanjiro to decapitate him. So, it seems that Daki had no way to back up her arrogance, and as it merely took Tengen a moment to behead her. She onlysurvived because of Gyutaro. Daki was strong, but she was definitely underwhelming compared to her brother.
