As per usual, this year’s winners across all categories will be decided by a mixed vote “between the voting jury (90%) and public fan voting (10%),” according to The Game Awards FAQ. GivenDestiny 2’s competitors, Bungie’s looter shooter wouldn’t exactly be the frontrunner for the Best Community Support award even if the last several weeks' worth of controversies didn’t happen.
Looking at the bigger picture,Nintendo is currently the favorite to sweep The Game Awards 2023, having managed 15 nominations in total. The 2023 edition of the show is scheduled to take place on December 7. As is tradition, The Game Awards 2023 will be held at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, and will also be broadcast globally free of charge. The show is planned to run for about three and a half hours, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Pacific Time.
