AfterDestiny 2players have taken down the Phalanx Echo in Prophecy, they will be free to proceed onto therest of the dungeon. Before players can begin the second encounter, they have to cross the wasteland and look for Taken Blights to destroy. Following the destruction of the blights, players must interact with the Toland ball floating around to reach the next set of blights. Repeat this process and eventually, the door to the second encounter will open.

While the first encounter was against a boss, the second encounter of Prophecy inDestiny 2is more like a puzzle. Fortunately, puzzles in dungeons are far more forgiving than their raid counterparts. The Cube encounter can be rather disorienting and chaotic, but here is how to complete it.

How to Complete the Cube Encounter

Before beginning this encounter, players should make sure that they have the right weapons for the job. Bring any weapon that is good with add (additional enemies) clear. Having something with rangelike a Linear Fusion Rifleis very helpful in this encounter. Jotunn is a great weapon to use here as well since it has excellent range.

The goal of this encounter is to find the spot in the room where the Toland ball is. It will be located on either one of the four walls or at the top of the cube in the middle of the room. Pay attention to what pillar of energy is below the Toland ball. If it is dark, then players will need to gather Dark Motesfrom Taken Knightsas they spawn. If it is light, then players will need to gather Light Motes instead. Just like before, ensure to pay attention to the visual effect in the corners of the screen when standing in well-lit or shadowed areas of the arena. White means that Light Motes will drop from a Taken Knight, and black will cause Dark Motes to drop.

If the Toland ball is up on the top of the cube, that means that players can dunk on any of the pillars. In this scenario, players can choose if they want to do Light or Dark.

Throughout the encounter, Taken Acolytes and Hobgoblins will spawn. Make sure to quickly kill the Hobgoblins, as they can easily kill the player that holds all the motes. This is where long range weapons will help. Also make sure to take out all the Acolytes as they can quickly overwhelmDestiny 2players.

Once players dunk motes into the spotindicated by the Toland ball, they should look around for some ammo (if needed) and then head toward the middle of the room where the circle is. This will teleport players to a different version of this room. If the right spot was dunked on with the correct color of motes, players will hear a sound effect and a message will appear in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.

Transitioning from one side of the room to another via the teleportation pad is disorienting, so players will want to make sure to get their bearings as they look around for the Toland ball again.

From there, players will need to repeat this process several more times. Eventually, two Taken mini-bosses will spawn. Once they are killed, players will have successfully completed the Cube encounter and will be rewarded withsome unique Nine-themedloot.
