The Shake is one of the easiest recipes in the game’s cookbook of over 200 different dishes players can make, requiring just a single ingredient. However, despite its simplicity, there’s a quirk to ensuring the recipe is properly prepared. Here’s what players need to know to prepare a Shake inDisney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Cook Shake
Shakeis a one-star dessert that can be made using asingle ingredient in the Dairy or Oil category, except forCheeseandEgg. The player can use any other ingredient in either of these categories to prepare a Shake. Therefore, the player just needs one of the following:
The in-game recipe states that any Dairy or Oil ingredient can be used to craft a Shake. However, this isnot true. Using Cheese as the Dairy ingredient will result in the player crafting aCheese Platter. If the player uses Egg as the Dairy ingredient, they will craft theHard-Boiled Eggsappetizer. Therefore, this is something players will want to be aware of when they intend to prepare a Shake.
Cooking any other single Dairy or Oil ingredient, such as a single stick of Butter or a carton of Milk, will result in crafting a proper Shake, albeit one of questionable taste. It is possible to include additional ingredients, such as a fruit or berries, and still yield a Shake. However, there’s no real reason to do this besides a minimal increase in the Energy restoration and Star Coin value of the prepared drink.
How to Get Dairy & Oil Ingredients
There are a total of seven different Dairy and Oil ingredients that players can regularly obtain inDisney Dreamlight Valley, five of which can be used to make a Shake. To obtain the Dairy ingredients, the player will need to have unlocked thestore in Remy’s Restaurantby completing his Friendship quests.

Remember, despite being in the ingredient category, Cheese and Egg should not be used for this recipe. There are also some additional, event-exclusive ingredients that fall into this category, but there is no reason to use these limited items for this recipe.
