The past year has been a great one forDr Disrespect, all things considered. A full year has passed since the streaming mogul was banned from Twitch. Despitehis struggles with anxiety, Dr Disrespect has made the most of his removal from the platform, taking to streaming full-time on YouTube. In other words, the momentum behind the Two-Time hasn’t faltered one bit and, in spite of his competitiveness, he’s more than willing to loan a helping hand to a fallen ally. At least, Dr Disrespect attempted to do so for an NBA player before security immediately blocked him off.

While bizarre at first, it’s easy to forget that Dr Disrespect has quite a bit of history related to sports. Back when he was attending college, the streamer was playing NCAA Division II basketball. There’s also the fact that Dr Disrespect is unequivocally known for his towering 6-foot 8 stature and 38-inch vertical leap. If that’s not convincing enough, theWarzonestreamerhas also shown up at NBA games in the past. Two years ago, Dr Disrespect was seen at a game between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors. The Doc chose to keep a lower profile back then, but it’s clear that this time, he felt the need to take initiative.

During the recent game between the Phoenix Suns and L.A. Clippers, Dr Disrespect was easily spotted in the background of a picture withDevin Booker. Clad in his trademark red vest, mustache, and gaming headset, the Doc appeared to be pacing back and forth with the players on the court.

At one point a Suns player, Cam Johnson, went down near the end of the court. Among the crowd cheering and applauding, Dr Disrespect is seen moving to help up the fallen player. Although the Doc likely had the purest intentions to help up a fellow basketball connoisseur, the courtside security wasn’t having it. Mere seconds after Dr Disrespect and Johnson made contact, security rushed in to separate the two individuals.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that the security guards knew they were denying the help of the Two-Time Champion. However, it would seem that Johnson recognized and accepted the help from Dr Disrespect without hesitation. To be fair, some athletes stream on Twitchin their free time, meaning they would no doubt recognize the icon within seconds of seeing him. Even so, the safety of the player comes first, so it makes sense that security would act in their best interest.

Either way, this type of spotlight only further boosts the Doc’s public profile. In spite of his ban from Twitch, Dr Disrespect has managed to maintain his standing power as an entertaining personality even when off-stream.
