LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais a celebration of all thingsStar Wars,LEGO, and other entertainment media. The game is utterly ripe with Easter Eggs and references to other franchises. Some obscure, some obvious, but at least one for everyone to understand.

10Qui-Gon Jinn’s Particular Set of Skills
When Qui-Gon is near a force-sensitive item for a puzzle or quest, he can sometimes utter the phrase “I have a particular set of skills that will come in handy here.” Fans might recognize this line as a reference to a film calledTaken.
BothStar Wars’Qui-Gon JinnandTaken’sBryan Millsare played byLiam Neeson, who has the iconic quote “What I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career.” Traveller’s Tales dedicates a lot of jokes and gags inThe Skywalker Sagato fun references.
9Indiana Jones’ Fedora Cameo
In the first mission of Episode 4:A New Hope, when players reach the part where they can take two paths, they should take the left path. This path lets players build a water gun to put out the fire blocking the path. When you travel along the now fireless path, you can activate a terminal that sends Stormtroopers flying out of the airlock, along with a “blink and you’ll miss it” iconic brown fedora.
This fedora is without a doubt the iconic hat of archeologist and professor, Indiana Jones. Lucasfilm has a longstanding history withIndiana Jones, as he is another franchise under their belt. Not only that but he is played byStar Wars’ Han Solo himself: Harrison Ford.
8Funny Character Interactions
When pairing unique characters together, sometimes they can have voice lines that directly reference the characters and what they are known for. This is a fun Easter Egg and encourages players topair up random charactersto see if they will have a conversation and include references for die-hard fans.
Such examples have every Sith apprentice of Palpatine getting frustrated at him as he continuously asks them if they have ever heard the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise. Or pair more iconic rivals like Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grievous to have them recreate the iconic “Hello There!” line.
7Return Of The Hot Tub Stormtroopers
One of the most iconic characters in the originalLEGO Star Warstitles was that of the Stormtroopers chilling in a hot tub. They could be found on a few levels, just enjoying spending time with their Imperial buddies, and soaking in the tub.

The oldLEGO Star Warsgames are iconic for many reasons, and fans of the old games would recognize the box cover for the games immediately. It’s good to see Traveller’s Tales being proud of their past.
Within thefirst mission of Episode 4: A New Hope, players can explore the level and find a familiar sight. A box with the cover art ofLego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy. On Naboo at the edge of Lake Paonga, you can also find the original box art forLego Star Wars. Lastly, you can find the cover art forLEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakensdeep in Maz’s Castle.
5R2-KT, The Droid With A Heart Of Gold
Upon arrival at Takodana, players can find a pink plated R2 unit nearMaz Kanata’s Castle. To some,R2-KTis just a cute and pink Astro-mech in a game brimming withLEGOcharacters, but the story behind this R2 unit is a lot sweeter than it seems.
R2-KT was built by the R2 Builders as a gift for a young girl called Katie. The droid was her companion as she battled brain cancer. The droid has appeared inStar Wars: The Clone Wars, andStar Wars: The Force Awakens, and partners with charities to make a difference, and can be located onthis website.
4Accurate LEGO Model Numbers On Characters
A fun detail, and agreat Easter EggforLEGOfans, is that some characters have the model number from real life in the game. All characters have theLEGOtrademark somewhere on them, mostly under their foot.
Some characters like the B1 Battle Droid have the model number on their arms, and this is present within the game. It’s great attention to detail and shows how much Traveller’s Tales cares about theLEGOandStar Warsbrands.
3Secret Text On Boss Fight Titles
In case you were unaware, the language inStar Warsis different from our own. Although characters speak our language, they write completely differently. Star Wars has its unique writing system known asAurebeshand is used to transcribeGalactic Basic Standard, which is the words that we hear.

Within The Skywalker Saga, each boss fight has the title card of a boss appear, with what would appear at first glance as gibberish underneath the title. This is Aurebesh and can be translated. For instance,Darth Maul’s boss fightAurebesh translates to “Red Dude, Bad Attitude.” There are plenty of bosses with fun gags to their sub-titles, like Darth Vader’s rivalry with sand!
2The Witcher’s Roach Problem
On the planetKef Bir, you’ll come across a stressedOrbak Keeper, who asks you to help find the missing animals that escaped the pen. The mission is titledUntitled Orbak Game, which in itself is a reference toUntitled Goose Game, but that isn’t the best part.
During this mission, you’ll find an Orbak merrily standing on the straw roof of a structure, just like the iconic glitches that came fromThe Witcher 3, in which Geralt of Rivia’s faithful companion, his horse, Roach, would sometimes spawn and get stuck on a roof.
1Obi-Wan Kenobi Learns From Spider-Man
Once players have completed Episode One and Episode Two, they can progress through Episode Three:Revenge of the Sith. Once they reach the mission titled “So Uncivilized”, they can battleGeneral Grievous, and be treated to a fun cutscene upon completion, even ifOrder 66and fun do not belong in the same sentence.
This cutscene hasCommander Codyand the212 Clone Batallionhunting forGeneral Kenobiafter Order 66 commences. A shot from the cutscene directly references an iconic shot ofSam Raimi’sfirstMarvelfilmSpider-Man, in whichPeter Parkerhides outside the wall of his room with a suspiciousNorman Osbornelooking around.
