Mohg, Lord of Bloodis a powerful Omen that resides in the deeper parts of the Siofra River inElden Ring. It is said that he gained his powers through communion with an Outer God called the Formless Mother. Another version of the boss called,Mohg, the Omencan be fought down the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
The Lord of Blood is also the twin brother ofMorgott, the Omen King, which can be found guarding the path to the Erdtree in the Royal Capital inElden Ring. Although they’re siblings, each has a distinctive fighting style that differentiates him from the other.

Players must reach his location through the waygate in Mountaintops of the Giants at the endgame, or get a head start and complete Varre’s quest to get an invitation early on. Defeating the Lord of Blood won’t be an easy task as he isone of the toughest bosses in Elden Ring, so make sure to be fully prepared and collect all the necessary equipment.
Where To Find Mohg Lord Of Blood in Elden Ring
Mohg, Lord of Blood, can be foundsouthwest of the Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance Site of Lost Grace in Mohgwyn Palace. This underground region can be reached by using a waygate near Yelough Anix Ruins in the Consecrated Snowfield.
Players need to collect the Haligtree Secret Medallion and use it at the Grand Lift of Rold to get tothe secret area in the Mountaintops of the Giants inElden Ring.
Another method is by completing the first few steps ofWhite Mask Varréquestline, which helps Tarnished reach Mohgwyn Palace in the early game.
After soaking the Lord of Blood’s Favor in a maiden’s blood,speak withElden Ring’sVareeto receive the Pureblood Knight’s Medal. This item grants players an audience with Mohg, Lord of Blood, thus teleporting Tarnished to Mohgwyn Palace upon use.
How To Defeat Mohg Lord Of Blood In Elden Ring
Mohg, Lord of Blood has various sets of battle moves that causes Hemorrhage (Bleed) and Fire damage. Ironically, he is weak to Hemorrhage, which means thatthe Swarm of FliesElden RingIncantationwill immensely help players in this fight.
In addition to Bleed,Mohg is also weak to Physical attacks and Gravity Spells. On the other hand, he’s immune against Fire, Frostbite, Scarlet Rot, and Poison.
Armors have resistance that’ll protect players from certain damage. Therefore, for Mohg, it’s best toequip an armor that has good robustness and Fire resistance.TheElden Ringarmor won’t protect Tarnished from everything, but it will minimize the damage.
LikesomeElden Ringboss fights, Mohg has two phases. In the first one, he’s fairly easy to hit and doesn’t move around much. The second phase is much harder, as the Lord of Blood is flying most of the time. To make it easier, here’s a complete list of his attacks.
Bloodflame Talons
Mohg will swipe his left arm and create three big slashes that explode and cause decent damage. The key is to roll away from the attack before the explosion.
Bloodboon
An opening appears above Mohg, which he sticks his hand into then splashes players with bloodflame that’ll stay on the floor and cause Hemorrhage build-up. Bloodboon can be done in several ways, but the most used are the horizontal arc and the bloodflame rain.
The former is used when Tarnished are at medium range, andit can be dodged by rolling into it while avoiding the flame on the ground. As for the bloodflame rain, it can only occur once players get too close to Mohg. Before dodging it, circle him and land a few hits on his back, then run away.
Spear Swings
The Lord of Blood swings his spear in 3-4 hits combos that can be dodged by rolling through every swing. There’s an opening to attack him if he slams his weapon to the ground.
Mohg’s Shackleis an item that can stagger the Lord of Blood during his first phase only. The item can be obtained from the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds near Leyndell Catacombs.
Thrust
Mohg will hold his spear horizontally and then charge forward in Tarnished’s direction.If the attack is evaded, there’s a big opening for players to deal damage.Elden RingRock Sling is a great option, as he’s weak to Gravitational attacks.
Ritual Countdown
The Lord of Blood thrusts his spear in the air and shouts “Trēs”, “Duo”, and “Ūnus” and with every counting, he’ll put a red ring around players until there are three.Mohg’s back is completely vulnerable during this move.
Blood Ritual
The Blood Ritual is without a doubt the most dangerous attack. After Mohg’s HP significantly drops, he will hold his weapon with both hands and shouts “Nihil” three times, consuming one ring each time. Each shout will cause massive damage to players and restore Mohg’s health.
Unfortunately, This attack is unavoidable, but there are methods to lessen the damage.By acquiring thePurifying Crystal Tearfrom Bloody Finger Eleonara, Mohg’s attack won’t affect Tarnished anymore.
Airborne Assault
During his second phase, Mohg sprouts giant wings on his back. He’ll then use them to fly away from the players and then charge down back with a powerful swing attack.It’s best to roll through the attack, not away from it.
Defeating Mohg, Lord of Blood rewards players with 420,000 Runes,Mohg’s Great Rune, andRemembrance of the Blood Lord.
