Final Fantasy 14has many creatures familiar to those who have playedother games from theFinal Fantasyfranchise. Some even gain different variations, appearing as enemies, mounts,or minions, like the cactuar.
This is the case with the Behemoth, a creature that appeared initially in the secondFinal Fantasygame as a boss and, since then, even became part of thecollaboration betweenFF14andMonster Hunter World. In Square Enix’s MMO, while the Behemoth can be faced in FATEs, it also appears as an unlockable mount. Here you’ll learn everything you need to get the Behemoth mount inFinal Fantasy 14!
How To Unlock The Behemoth Mount
Luckily for the players interested in getting this mount, Behemoth is very easy to obtain, being a perfect option for players still journeying throughA Realm Reborn, or those who have to deal withFinal Fantasy 14’sFree Trial limitations, considering they can still get it with no problems. This mount can be unlocked early on, too, as it has no required level or quest involved.
All players need is to get six Achievement Certificates. These are a type of currency players get based on completing achievements and getting achievement points. One Certificate is received for every 50 points, so depending on the content the player goes after, it’s possible to get enough Certificates before level 50.
It isn’t necessary to do anything to convert achievement points into Certificates. Simply talk to Jonathas, the same NPC that will sell the Behemoth mount, and you will automatically get the Certificates.
The NPC named Jonathas (X:10.6, Y: 6.3)can be found in Old Gridania, more specifically in Apkallu Falls - his location is marked on the map with a trophy symbol, as shown in the image above. He is a special merchant who sells items that the player can’t get through the original acquisition method, which is the case, for example, with the Behemoth mount, asit was originally a Veteran Reward. The player must interact with him to see everything he has for sale, which includes a few mounts, but also a variety of minions, bardings, and several more items.
After that, all the player needs to do to get the mount is choose to buy the Behemoth Warhorn for six Achievement Certificates. This will add the item to the inventory, and as is the case with other mounts, players must remember to use the Warhorn to actually add the Behemothto their mount collection.
As mentioned before, Jonathas sells several other items for Achievement Certificates. Exchanging those with him is an easy way to get more mounts, minions, bardings, orchestrion rolls, framer’s kits, and even a few items that can be used in glamours. Don’t forget to look through his catalog and get anything that interests you!
