Most of the main English voice cast ofFire Emblem Engagetook to social media over the last few days to confirm their roles in the latest installment of the long-running strategy RPG franchise. Their announcements were timed just ahead ofNintendo’s January 20 release ofFire Emblem Engage.The newFire Emblemgame is the firstbig Switch exclusive of 2023. While such coordinated communications are fairly common in both gaming and the general entertainment industry, what’s noteworthy is how heartfelt some of these newly posted messages read. For example, Laura Stahl said that she is “forever grateful” for the opportunity to play the female version of the game’s protagonist Alear. “Fire Emblem: Engagechanged my life,” she wrote in a January 20 tweet.
Similarly, Brandon McInnis—the actor who played the male version of Alear—labeled his role as “an honor beyond words.” This sort of statements wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for artists commenting on their breakthrough roles, but both Stahl and McInnis are fairly accomplished names in their field, having previously voiced characters in a number of successful TV series, movies, and games such asGenshin Impact,Soul Hackers 2, andBorderlands 3.
Stahl, McInnis, and several otherFire Emblem Engagevoice actors and actresses have also reprised their roles inFire Emblem Heroes. Another reason for the fans to once again boot up the hit mobile game is thatFire Emblem Heroesplayers get a bonus forEngage.
