How to Earn Strategy Resources in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
Players will need to acquire strategy resources in order to use strategies in battle, and these are acquired bycompleting side quests and capturing territory. Players wishing to make the most of the Strategy system will need to complete as many side quests as possible in each chapter before starting the main battle, along with capturing all territory possible.
Interacting with certain locations on the map after capturing territory will sometimes reveal new strategies for the upcoming battle as well, so combing the map for every possible reward is very much encouraged.
How to Choose Strategies in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
When entering the main battle of a chapterplayers are immediately presented with the strategy menu, which lists all available strategies and their strategy resource costs. Players can select as many strategies as they can afford to to make them available for use in the upcoming battle.
Some notable strategies to look out for are “Recruit X” strategies, which are the main method of unlocking new characters for use in gameplay. Many missions also feature mission-specific strategies, such as chaining boats together to form a bridge, which creates a shortcut to the enemy stronghold.
Again, players should ensure that they have as many strategy resources as possible before entering the main battle of a chapter if they want to make consistent use of strategies.
Activating Strategies
While some strategies are passive and will be automatically active from the beginning of the battle, such as deploying healers to periodically restore friendly units or archers to defend a key area, many require the player to activate them by holding right on the D-pad when prompted during the course of the battle.
The prompt will appear on the left-hand side of the screen once a strategy is available for activation, and is usually accompanied by dialog from one of the player’s allies suggesting the use of the strategy.Strategies that recruit characters must always be activatedand should be used before players defeat the recruitable character in battle.
