More gamers are playingForspokenon Steam right now thanRedfall.ForspokenandRedfallboth received mixed reviews upon their release, especially considering that they are AAA games from massive publishers.Forspokenreceived higher scores thanRedfalloverall, but both games are sitting at under 65 on Metacritic. The PS5 version ofForspokenhas a score of 64 on Metacritic, while the Xbox Series X edition ofRedfallhas a rating of 56. The user scores on Metacritic are closer than the critic average, withForspokenandRedfallsitting at 3.6 and 3.4 respectively. So, the total number of users playingRedfallcould be higher thanForspokenacross all available PC storefronts.
Additionally,Square Enix released a new DLC forForspokentitledIn Tanta We Trust, which may have resulted in a renewed interest in the title. Gamers that bought the deluxe edition ofForspokencan playIn Tanta We Trustfor free, with this version of the game also giving them access to a mini artbook and mini soundtrack. Overall, bothForspokenandRedfallhave an extremely low number of concurrent players on Steam, with the former winning out by a handful of users.
Like the Metacritic score,Forspokenwins out in the user score on Steam, as it has a rating of Mixed as opposed to Mostly Negative forRedfall. Furthermore,Redfallis one of the lowest-rated games on Steam, with titles likeResident Evil ResistanceandWolfenstein: Youngbloodalso present in this list.
It’ll be interesting to see howRedfall’s numbers on Steam compare to Microsoft’s own launcher, although its performance on Xbox consoles doesn’t appear to be that great.Redfallhas already dropped out of the top 50most-played games on Xbox despite being a month old, but more players may decide to give it a try when the 60 FPS update launches.
