Fortnite’s new Zero Build Mode has made high ground essential. No longer able to create towering structures themselves, players must rely entirely on elevated locations and cover already available in-game. One way to reach this coveted high ground is viaFortnite’sJetpacks.
First added to the game back in 2018, Jetpacks are incredibly useful items fortraversing long distances in the air, avoiding fall damage, and positioning above players. With the addition of IO Airships,Chapter 3 Season 2’s unvaulted itemsare critical tools for staying alive in high places. Players should grab them while they can; however, as limited-time items, they aren’t likely to stay for long.

Where to Find Jetpacks in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2
Jetpacks can be found easily enough by players who frequent the new IO Airshipsin Chapter 3, Season 2. There are currently4 permanently placed AirshipsonFortnite’s latest map: one above Command Cavern, one at Tilted Towers, another at Rocky Reels, and one more at Coney Crossroads.
Another Airship can be found on the map, though this one moves to different locations as theseason-long battle between The Seven and the Imagined Orderprogresses; this week, the Airship can be found at Condo Canyon.
Each Airship has a chance to spawn up to 10 Jetpacks, one by each door aboard.Up to four can be found in the main body of the blimp, by each door leading outsideonto the Airship’s flanks.
Another two can appear atthetail end of the IO Airship, through a door, and up the stairs by another door leading outside.
One level down, in the ship’s midsection, players can findone more by each door flanking the stairway leading up.
The final two can be found by the door in the Airship’s command bridgeon the lowest floor.
This makes getting Jetpacks fairly easy if players time their jumps correctly and land before other Loopers. In general,players should always aim to land for Airships, as not only do they have some IO Chests – providing plenty of loot – but they also offer the highest ground in the game.
Players proficient with snipers or the powerful Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle can take full advantage of the height and cover that these Airships give.
Moreover, theAirship’s Siege Cannons allow players to launch themselvesgreat distances, making them very helpful for repositioning into the circle. However,at higher levels of play, these Airships are very busy places– particularly the one above Tilted Towers due to its central location.
Therefore, Loopers should always be prepared and stick with their teams to ensure a Jetpack-assisted Victory Royale.
