Whilst podracing may be a galaxy-wide enjoyable sport to those in the Star Wars universe, those inFortnitehave Rocket Racing, a mode that blendsRocket League, racing games, andFortniteinto one package. With the newStar WarsxFortniteevent bringing the galaxy far, far away to the hands of players, it’s inevitable that the Sith come too, and players can get Darth Maul cosmetics for a vehicle.
Whilst it’s no podracing on Tatooine, Rocket Racing can be a lot of fun, and these newStar Warscosmetics can help bring new flair and personality into each vehicle. Whilst no advantage can be given with these new vehicle customization options, it’s always nice to look menacing, especially with red paint and horns.
Complete Star Wars Event Challenges In Rocket League
to get the cosmetics required to make a Darth Maul car inFortnite, players willneed to playRocket League, a separate game that often collaborates withFortnite. Once inRocket League, players will havefree access to the Star Wars Event challenges until May 20, where they can unlockStar Wars-themed items, including Darth Maul’s decals to make their vehicle look like the Sith Lord.
To start, players must complete an event challenge to unlock Anakin’s Energy Binders Trail, which can be found below:
This won’t be too hard to complete, as simply following the ball in an Online Match and hitting it repeatedly will grant players the cosmetic they seek. It shouldn’t take too many matches, but patience is a virtue. Once this challenge is done, players will need to equip the recently earned Energy Binders Trail on their vehicle to begin the next event challenge for Darth Maul, also found below:
After completing this challenge, which might take a bit of work depending on the skill of the player, players will have unlocked the Darth Maul Decal, which will turn their vehicle into Darth Maul, complete with his Dathomir horns on the roof, and his tattooed face across the body of the car, which can only be used on the Octane body.
Once these quests have been completed in Rocket League, and players have linked theirFortniteandRocket Leagueaccounts through Epic Games, the next time they load intoFortnitethey will receive these cosmetics available to them inFortnitefor use in Rocket Racing and as their Battle Royale vehicle of choice.
Red Lightsaber Boost (400 V-Bucks)
Rocket Leagueisn’t the only place to getFortnitecosmetics for the Darth Maul car, as players can head to the Item Shop and purchase the Red Lightsaber Boost for 400 V-Bucks. This boost comes with variants, and they can also be used inRocket League. The boost itself makes the sinister lightsaber noise as players boost through Battle Royale and Rocket Racing, making an intimidating addition to the Darth Maul collection.
Darth Maul Wheels (700 V-Bucks)
The final piece of the puzzle is also found inFortnite’s Item Shop, in which players can currently purchase the Darth Maul Wheel as part of theStar WarsxFortniteevent. Whilst it does cost 700 V-bucks, it features a collab design of Darth Maul’s tattoo pattern on the wheels that can be used on most car bodies and works perfectly when it comes to designing Darth Maul’s car inFortnite.
It is currently unknown whether or not theRocket Leaguedecal for Darth Maul will come toFortniteas part of the Item Shop after the event is over, as Fortnite has often dabbled in timed-exclusive cosmetics, but some Rocket League cosmetics have transferred over into the Fortnite item shop before, and vice versa.
