Fortnite’s v22.10 hotfix was released on October 11, and it added a couple new items to the Battle Royale game mode. One of those new items is a weapon known as the Explosive Goo Gun, which can be used to cover a target with a substance that will eventually explode. For those players that would like to experience this effect firsthand, this guide contains details on where to find an Explosive Goo Gun inFortnite.
Fortnite: Explosive Goo Gun Location
The Explosive Goo Gun has a chance to appear asfloor loot and in Chests, and players that are searching for the weapon are thus advised to focus on locations with a high density of those loot sources. While the majority of the named locations onFortnite’s mapfit that description,Cloudy Condos, Lustrous Lagoon, and Rave Caveare among the best options. Indeed, there is a tremendous amount of loot to be obtained at these three locations, and they have been marked on the map that is below.

Additionally, Explosive Goo Guns can be found in theSupply Dropsthat will land on the map over the course of a match. These loot sources are much more scarce than floor loot and Chests, though, and players should not expect to encounter them in every match. That said, fans should absolutely loot a Supply Drop if they come across one for the chance to obtain some powerfulweapons inFortniteand maybe even an Explosive Goo Gun.
While players are looking for an Explosive Goo Gun on the ground, in Chests, and in Supply Drops, they may obtain the other item that was added as part ofFortnite’s v22.10 hotfix. That item is the Throwable Launch Pad, and it functions very much like a standard Launch Pad. Indeed, fans can use this object to shoot themselves into the air once one has been deployed, providing the opportunity to quickly get above a threat, onto a tall structure, or away from an area.
There is also a newly-unvaulted item to be found on the ground, in Chests, and in Supply Drops, and it is the Shield Bubble. This item has been vaulted since update v21.51, which was released duringFortniteChapter 3 Season 3, and it deploys a dome for 30-seconds that serves as a barrier against projectiles. While it is true that players cannot shoot out of a Shield Bubble, the reprieve that it provides can be useful for doing some quick healing.
Fortniteis available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
