The Shockwave Hammer is still broken after the update, so it might be getting removed fromFortniteonce again and much sooner than expected. Each time a newFortniteseason drops, tons of content is added to the game, a new Battle Pass is released, some map locations change completely, new weapons are added, and other weapons are unvaulted. Unfortunately, there is a particular melee weapon this season that’s been causing some issues.

The Shockwave Hammer has been an extremely debatedFortniteweapon in Chapter 4 Season 1. This new melee weapon was first introduced in the season’s trailer, and it got theFortnitecommunity excited to try it out. However, soon after matchmaking was made available and gamers played their first couple of matches, the Shockwave Hammer proved to be too overpowered and glitchy.

Although theShockwave Hammer has been vaulted, patched and nerfed, and then unvaulted, it’s still not where it should be. It seems that the hammer wasn’t fixed properly, and fans have been experiencing a new bug that prevents them from playing. When the user attempts to bounce while holding the Shockwave Hammer, instead of hitting the ground, it simply glitches and leaves the player locked in a mid-bounce position. It’s possible to keep trying to activate the bounce option, but the glitch will continue to happen.

The previousShockwave Hammer glitch made the user bounce indefinitelyon demand, so it was quickly exploited by manyFortniteplayers and removed from the game. This bug, on the other hand, can’t be exploited and simply breaks the game for those that fall victim to it. The next game update should be available on Tuesday, but since this is a serious issue, Epic Games might just release a quick hotfix to take care of the problem or to vault the Shockwave Hammer altogether again.

Fans in the comments section speculated that this glitch could be related to theReality Augments activated by players. Epic Games might shed some light on this matter later on, but for the time being the origin of this bug remains unknown. Unfortunately, thisFortniteseason has been particularly glitchy and made it difficult for players to enjoy it to its fullest extent. Hopefully, the second half of the season won’t have as many issues and will allow players to play without fearing that they’ll experience a bug that forces them to leave the game early.
