Summary
Fortniteplaced some new billboards in Mega City, and they seem to be teasing the return of Chapter 1.FortniteChapter 4 Season 4’s theme focused mostly on orchestrating the perfect heist. With the season coming to an end at last, it seems that Nolan Chance and his crew have finally pulled it off, and they managed to steal the time machine from Kado Thorne’s stronghold and bring it back to their hiding place in Frenzy Fields. Following this series of events, fans started to speculate on what it could all mean.
Several hints have led fans to believe thatFortnitecould be going back in time. It started out with leaks indicating that the OGFortnitemap would be returning once the next season started. Then, Kado Thorne’s time machine appeared in-game with the Chapter 1 Season 5 start date marked on it. After this, when the heist was completed and the time machine was brought to Frenzy Fields, severalSeason 5 props began spawningnear the location.
With theend of Chapter 4 Season 4just around the corner,Fortnitehas finally started to tease the upcoming season with a not-so-subtle in-game hint. Mega City now has billboards displaying what appears to be Chapter 1’s sky, and in the background, players will immediately be able to recognize the original lobby music track.
While it has not been explicitly confirmed, many fans are now convinced that at least some parts of theoriginalFortnitemap will come backfor the upcoming season. It’s even possible that the map will be entirely changed and revert back to what it once was, but that remains to be seen.
A while back, leaks indicated thatFortnitechapters would be significantly shorterand that Chapter 4 would come to an end before the end of the year. If this turns out to be true, that means this will be the last season of the chapter, and as it’s customary, the current map will be wiped out and replaced. There’s a chance that the map that replaced this one is actually one that some gamers have played on before. Many fans have asked Epic Games to reenable the oldFortnitemap, so if this rumor turns out to be true, a lot of players will be satisfied with the next season.
