After announcing a new crossover collaboration with the fast food chain Pizza Hut earlier this year, specialGenshin Impactbranded merchandise has begun to appear for those ordering food. Originally launching in 2020, the Action RPGGenshin Impacthas been a massive success for developer HoYoverse. Taking place in a fantasy open world called Teyvat, players can experience it for free while utilizing live service gacha elements through newly added characters and weapons on a consistent update cycle.
Similar to other live service games likeDestiny 2andCall of Duty: Warzone,Genshin Impactcontinues to expand its world with new areas to explore, quests, and the aforementioned characters to keep players coming back. With an already expansive roster of characters, each with their own elemental skills and abilities, fans have come to favor some over others. While tier lists have appeared online, especially forGenshin Impactplayers trying to tackle the Spiral Abyss end game activity, some popular characters have even been utilized in unique campaigns outside of the game world.

The latestGenshin Impactcollaboration involves the fast food chain Pizza Hut which offers special branded merchandise with the characters of Yelan and Ningguang. While the pre-sale started all the way back in late February, the official launch actually kicked off in China starting on April 3. The two Liyue-based characters are dressed in stylish modern costumes and placed on various pieces of merchandise like pizza boxes, banners, and drink cups. The collaboration also brought about limited time merchandise like metal bookmarks, themed notebooks, and more.
Since the collaboration is exclusive to China, those living there have started to see the Pizza Hut merchandise start to arrive. One user on the Genshin Impact subReddit known as inaem even posted a picture of the exclusive box with the modern looking Yelan prominently featured on the cover as well as her signature. Naturally, the comments all seemed to agree that HoYoverse should release the outfits for both characters in-game, though most don’t expect it to happen outside of the few limitedalternative skins forGenshin Impactcharacters like Ayaka.
While the China exclusive may be a bit disappointing for fans in other regions of the world, rumors indicate that HoYoverse may have some exciting things coming to the game in the near future. The biggest of the addedGenshin Impactcontent is a new region called Fontaine, which takes inspiration from France, and expected to arrive sometime this Summer. The upcoming Version 3.6 is also getting a pair of new Dendro-based characters, Baizhu and Kaveh.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
