Summary
In this fantasy world ofGoblin Slayer, being an adventurer is what most individuals aim for. Once they turn 15 and become adults, most of them leave their homes and set out to join an adventurer’s guild. A prime example is Priestess, who leaves her temple to become an adventurer and ultimately becomes a member of Goblin Slayer’s party.
In theGoblin Slayerseries, there are different ranks in the adventurer’s guild, and every known and unknown adventurer starts from the lowest rank, porcelain, and moves up the ladder. The popular Goblin Slayer is a silver-ranked adventurer, the third-highest rank, and Hero holds the highest rank, Platinum. Similarly, the Sword Maiden from the Water Town arc is the only gold-ranked adventurer who appears in the anime, while the rest are in theGoblin Slayerlight novel titledGoblin Slayer Side Story II: Dai Katana.
8Sword Maiden
The Sword Maiden is a former gold-ranked adventurer who appears during the Water Town Arc. She is no longer an adventurer because goblins attacked and kidnapped her, which greatly traumatized her. She is blind as a result of this, and she constantly worriesabout goblin attacks.
When goblins invade her sewers, she is unable to fight them off and resorts to calling the Goblin Slayerand his party. The Goblin Slayer successfully kills the goblin, and this puts the mind of Sword Maiden at great peace, and her fear subsides.
7Sword Saint
Sword Saint is a member of Hero’s party, and she appears briefly in theGoblin Slayeranime, but fans still do not know much about her. For Sword Saint to be a member of Hero’s party, she must be strong and have impeccable skills and abilities.
She takes down dangerousopponents with Heroand Sage, the other party member, and according to theGoblin Slayerlight novel, Sword Saint, as her name implies, carries a sword around and is very skilled and knows her way around a sword.
6Sage
Sage is the other member of Hero’s party of three adventurers. She is very serious about her duty as an adventurer, and she dislikes Hero’s impulsive nature as it annoys her a lot. She has helped Hero and Sword Maiden take down some strong opponents likethe Demon Lord, his servants, demons, and so much more.
Sage also possesses great magical powers, and according to theGoblin Slayerlight novel, she is a sorcerer, and she carries a staff that helps her perform her numerous spells.
5Captain
Captain is the leader of his party in theGoblin Slayerlight novel. His party is responsible for the death of the Demon Lord ten years before the anime. However, the Demon Lord resurrects a decade later, and this time,Hero kills him.
Captain is selfless, as he advocates for others but rarely talks about his emotions and keeps to himself. Although there isn’t much information about his abilities and actions, it is safe to assume that he possesses great power and skill, given that he was able to defeat the Demon Lord. In addition, Captain carries two Katanas to help in battle.
4Female Wizard
Female Wizard is another member of Captain’s party responsible for taking down the Demon Lord a few years ago. She is also related to Captain, but she sees him more like a brother than a cousin, which is what he is to her. She is constantly rooting for him, as he is always in battle against dangerous opponents.
Her abilities are unknown, but for her to be a gold-ranked adventurer, one can conclude that she has strong skills. In addition, she most likely has high-levelmagical powers, given that she is a wizard, and being in Captain’s party would require everyone to at least be able to carry their weight.
3Female Warrior
Female Warrior is an orphan who grew up in an orphanage and set out to be an adventurer with five other women, whom she refers to as her sisters. Unfortunately for her, during a quest, she and her sisters encounter an opponent they cannot defeat, leading to the deaths of everyone except her.
After this incident, she meets another party of adventurers looking for members, and this party turns out to be Captain’s. She successfully joins them after they figure she is a good match for them. In addition, Female Warrior carries a sword around and is very skilled with it.
2Myrmidon Monk
Myrmidon Monk belongs tothe Myrmidon race. This race has insect-like features, as they have antennae and mandibles. In terms of strength, myrmidon are not as strong as humans, but they have the ability to fly, which gives them an edge. In battle, they clearly would pack a punch against any opponent they come against.
He appears to be very experienced and is the oldest in Captain’s party. He carries a sword with him as a weapon and is known to be able to perform miracle spells intheGoblin Slayerlight novelGoblin Slayer Side Story II: Dai Katana.
1Half-Elf Scout
Half-Elf Scout is another member of Captain’s party, and just like his name implies, he is a half-elf and half-human. He joins Captain’s party after Captain and Female Wizard rescue him from a tricky situation a wizard kept him in.
Half-Elf Scout, just like anyone, gets scared at the thought of fighting dangerous opponents, but he never lets his fear stop him and is determined to be famous. One very noteworthy skill he has is lockpicking, and he always has a lockpicking kit on him, ready to pick any doors he comes across. Additionally, one can easily conclude that being a member of Captain’s party, his gold rank may not just be for show.
