A highly skilledGod of War Ragnarokplayer overcame one of the hardest challenges in the game by using the fabled Blades of Chaos. Even though 2018’sGod of Warand the sequelGod of War Ragnarokhave armedKratos with the Leviathan Axe as his signature weapon, many players still view the Blades of Chaos as his true weapon. Some players have carried this philosophy in-game, creating powerful builds centered around the legendary Greek weapon to unleash violence worthy of aGod of War.

InGod of War Ragnarok, players have access to multiple weapons which boast distinct play styles. These weapons can be upgraded and tweaked by exploring the world and killing powerful enemies. One such powerful upgrade is called Runic Attacks, which upon activation deals great damage to enemies and often boasts powerful secondary effects. Runic attacks have been a point of contention among the community, as some of the combos can stun-lock enemies in place making encounters trivial.

Reddit user Lckf shared a short two-minute video on the social media platform where theyflawlessly go through Muspelheim’s Boss Rush challengeat record speed. The player only uses the Blades of Chaos throughout the fight, as the challenge begins with The Traveler being the first enemy to step out of a portal. The Traveler stands no chance as the player slashes away with the fiery blades, finishing the fight with an execution. The second enemy, a Fierce Stalker, also meets a quick end after a few attacks. Following this, the player activates their talisman skill to receive the Gift of Strength and the Soulless Warrior buff. This provides a massive attack boost to the player, who quickly dispatches the Dark Elf Lord and the Light Elf Lord. And finally, the player fights and kills an Einherjer Captain to bring this battle to a close.

Under normal circumstances, Travelers and Einherjer Captains are formidable enemies that can make short work of Kratos if players are not careful. And the agile elven enemies in the latestGod of Wargames have given players ample amount of frustration, with the Elf Lords being prone to spamming attacks. The Fierce Stalker is a lesser version of The Untamed Fury boss from Vanaheim, and possibly poses the least amount of threat in this challenge. While theseenemies are not comparable to the Berserker King Hrolf Krakior the Valkyrie Queen Gna, this video proves that even the strongest foe can be felled by simple attacks with enough practice.

While certain players have completed this challenge with other weapons and powerful runic attack combinations, this video is proof that the Blades of Chaos are still capable of dishing out godly damage. With a brutal history to match the god who wielded it, the weapon now serves as a reminder ofhow far Kratos has comein his journey to find peace away from war.
