Comic books have such a rich history, and the DC Universe is ripe with characters that are older than a few decades. It can be hard for teams of creators to tell or condense a story that has been spanning for decades, and is still ongoing, especially when they have their one to tell. 6Good Relationship With Bat Family
When it comes to Jason Todd, everyone knows that he is the black sheep of the Bat Family. Both his allegiances and traumatic history make him distant from allies like Nightwing and Robin. He can’t be in the same room ashis brothers and fatherwithout being reminded that he died. He’s on mutual terms, but not great terms.
When it came toGotham Knights, it seems that this universe’s Jason Todd has tried to move on from his trauma, and reconciled with the Bat Familyafter the death of Batman. It’s a proud moment to see Red Hood integrate with his vigilante family, even if it notably takes him a while to warm up to it.
5Does Not Kill
One of the most famed attributes of Red Hood is the fact that he is aprotégé to Batmanthat has no issue with killing. After his resurrection, and training from the League of Assassins, he finds no issue with putting people into the ground, especially after he has been there himself. He sees that they deserve death, whereas he did not, and he will deliver that.

After patching things up with the rocky relationship that isRed Hood and Batman, Jason Todd decided to follow hisold ways as Robinand prefers non-lethal methods. Red Hood uses non-lethal guns and doesn’t snap necks in stealth, as if to honor Batman’s no-kill rule.
4Mutual Understanding With Harley Quinn
It’s no secret that Jason Todd and Harley Quinn both suffered at the hands of the Joker. By the time ofGotham Knights,Joker is missingand Batman is dead, which leaves great room for Harley Quinn to shine in the spotlight as what she has always wanted to be in this universe: a villain. Harley discovers who she is, and even in her mayhem, Jason Todd can’t help but sympathize.
There’s a mutual understanding between the two characters as they meet in Arkham and Blackgate. Jason Todd is noticeably friendlier than he normally is with characters as if he knows what Harley has gone through, and recalls his traumatic past.
3Was With The Outlaws During the Court Of Owls Saga
The Court of Owls played a pivotal role for Batman in theNew 52. At the time, they were Batman’s newest villains, and a true threat toall of Gothamfor their political power and wealth, and how they achieved it all through underground and untraceable means. The story is rather different forGotham Knights, as Red Hood is directly involved in the conflict.

Whilst Red Hood had encountered the Court before, it was not as important as inGotham Knights. At the time, Red Hood was with teammates Starfire and Arsenal, in which they forged Red Hood and the Outlaws, a team that is replaced inGotham Knightswith the Bat Family.
2Tortured By The Joker
When it came to Jason Todd’s death, he was tricked by the Joker, beaten with a crowbar, and blown up in an abandoned warehouse. Whether or not Jason Todd survived, was up to the fans, who all voted that he should be killed. This foreveraltered Jason Todd’s pathinto Red Hood. His beating and then death is a staple of Batman’s mythos.
InGotham Knights, things are a little different, and it’s noted by Jason Todd’s physical appearance. Instead of being beaten and then blown up by Joker, he was kidnapped and tortured. This isshown by the scarson his body, and most notably, on the side of his cheek, as if Joker was trying to carve a smile.
1Magical Abilities
After Jason Todd’s resurrection from the Lazarus Pit, he was noticeably changed, with a different outlook on life and who deserved it. The Lazarus Pit harbors many unknown and mystical properties, but for Jason Todd, it just brought him back to life, with a white patch of hair on his head. Then,Gotham Knightsinvestigated the more mystical properties of the Lazarus Pit.
When players pick Red Hood inGotham Knights, they will be able to possess magical abilities. These have Red Hoodleaping in the airwith a green cloud of magic and dashing through green particles. Red Hood does not have such powers in the comics.
