Since its release in 2013, however, fans have been wondering when the next installment in the beloved franchise will be completed. While it’s safe to assume there won’t be anynewGTA 6progressfor some time, there have been speculations about whereGrand Theft Auto 6might be located.
Many popular titles from Rockstar Games, likeGrand Theft Auto 5andRed Dead Redemption 2, include prologue chapters in their campaigns. Players have noticed a running theme that might, perhaps, provide a clue about the beginning ofGTA 6.

Reddit user “aisarfadzil77” recently posted some images to theGrand Theft Auto 6subreddit that highlighted two important moments from previous Rockstar games. In bothGrand Theft Auto 5andRed Dead Redemption 2, the prologues start in snowy winter landscapes. With that in mind, it seems plausible that the next big game from Rockstar,Grand Theft Auto 6, might take place in a similar setting at the start of the campaign. While the entirety of the title likely won’t take place in a tundra, it could be possible that it begins with a mission in the snow.
Aside from the potential for a snowy start to the next title, there have also been rumors thatGTA 6will take place in Vice City. If true, the city would certainly provide an awesome environment for players to explore on current-gen hardware. Of course, almost nothing has been revealed aboutGrandTheft Auto 6, and it doesn’t seem like anything is coming soon. Rockstar has been keep quiet about the future of theGrand Theft Autofranchise, and so for now fans will have to stick to speculating and hoping for new content.
Indeed, in the wake of the port ofGTA 5to current-gen consoles, eyes have certainly been on theGrand Theft Autoseries. Unfortunately, leaks have stated that there will beno newGTA 6informationfor a while. Hopefully, though, the day will soon come when fans find out ifGrand Theft Auto 6has customizable protagonistsor if it will officially take place in Vice City. Whether the rumors are true remains to be seen, but one thing is clear;Grand Theft Auto 5has been out for nearly a decade, and fans are hungry for more.
