Everyone loves the MCU. Even though many are experiencing some degree of superhero burnout when it comes to movies and TV shows, games are different. There are dozens of amazing Marvel and DC games MCU fans can enjoy.
If, however, fans are looking for something different, something more unique and niche while still carrying that superhero essence, this list is for them. Here are a few great games for fans of the MCU that are outside of the Marvel and DC sphere.
8Infamous
Suckerpunch’s third-person action-adventure masterpiece is a superhero game in all but name. Players control protagonist Cole, who drains out electricity from his surroundings, similar to Electro.

This open-world sandbox features Cole’s quest throughout Empire City, where he platforms his way through power cable lines and train tracks. Players have access to some choices, navigating through the ‘good’ and ‘evil’ karma routes, but these don’t affect the major plot points significantly. The game’s strength lies in its strong fundamental mechanics and solid traversal mechanics.
7Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
The ninja turtles are superheroes in their own right. The swashbuckling ninjas have been gracing the sewers of New York City for a few decades now, but one of their original arcade ventures,Turtles In Timeis one of the most iconic arcade games of its time.
The game features waves upon waves of footclan soldiers and villains for players to fight through, alone or with a friend. The game also has solid mechanics, artwork, and varied level design owing to its time-travel mechanics.
6Prototype
IfInfamouswas an MCU game, thenPrototypeis its DCU compatriot. Released around the same time, the game follows Alex Mercer, a hero with shape-shifting abilities, as he traverses Manhattan attempting to stop a viral outbreak.
Prototypefeatures some unique and exciting gameplay, owing to Mercer’s niche superpowers. Mercer has an absolutely massive arsenal of weapons and abilities players can utilize. The story and characters are gritty, intriguing, and well-designed, and it’s all in all a very enjoyable experience.
5Saints Row IV
Easilythe goofiest entryon this list.Saints Row IVfeatures an open-world sandbox in the vein ofGTAandWatchdogs,but it dials everything up to a hundred and operates in apseudo fantasy worldwhere anything can happen. The game features a player created character who ends up elected as President of the United States.
Everything about the game is over-the-top and tongue in cheek, but it works very well. The dialogue is witty and humorous and players have access to a variety of different moves and abilities they can use to pummel through their enemies at will.
4Infamous: Second Son
This 2014 sequel packs a punch. It does everythingInfamousdid, but better. The game has solid graphics, visuals, designs, and gameplay across the board. This time players follow Delsin Rowe through afictionalized version ofSeattle. Unfortunately, the karma system returns it isn’t fleshed out and stands as one of the weaker parts of the game.

Infamous: Second Sonfeatures colorful, slick visuals and vibrant environments. The environment is interactable and the game has a wide host of different abilities and powers for Delsin to use. All in all, it takes everything from the previous two games and improves on them, a must-play for any fans of the superhero genre.
3Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
This game is basically an MCU trilogy condensed into an action-adventure RPG.Fallen Orderlets players control a pseudo Jedi. Players have access to a variety of lightsabers, force powers,gadgets and skills, and platforming options to traverse multiple planets and aid Cal on his quest.
The story is light but engaging, in the vein ofUnchartedbut in space. The gameplay is whereFallen Ordershines, however. It’s reminiscent ofNiohandSekiro: slick, fast-paced, and fun.
2Dragon Ball FighterZ
Dragon Ball FighterZwas a hit fighting game featuring stunning visuals and incredible animations. The character designs, special moves and costumes were all fantastic. This game is a visual delight, and every fan of the MCU would love it.

Aside from the jaw-dropping visuals, the game features a massive cast ofDragon Ballcharacters, each with their own unique moves, designs, and transformations. The gameis ridiculously in-depthand has a fun single player campaign again featuring Goku and his allies taking on Android 21. The Z fighters are a colorful, exciting cast and could go toe to toe with any superhero heavyweights. The game is a must-play for fighting game and MCU fans.
1Telltale: The Walking Dead
This game is a must for comic-book fans. Its one of the best storytelling choice-based games out there, featuring tons of intriguing characters, players can relate to. The story is fantastic, full of difficult decisions and heart-wrenching moments.
The gameplay isn’t anything to write home about, but the game is driven by its incredible story where player choices actually matter and come back to haunt the player. From Lee and Clementine to Kenny and everyone in between, thegame is memorableand exciting, and players can’t resist coming back for more.
