Summary
Game Rant can exclusively reveal a newStar WarsVintage Collection Jetpack Trooper figure from Hasbro. Inspired byStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, the upcoming collectible is slated to hit the store shelves in late 2024.
Hasbro has been making licensedStar Warstoys for over three decades, having initially started the endeavor after its 1991 acquisition of Kenner Products, which held the franchise’s merch rights at the time. One of the many toy lines that the company created over the years isStar Wars: The Vintage Collection, which consists of detailed figures in retro packaging made to mimic the original Kenner Star Wars figurines from the late ’70s and ’80s.
Yet another addition to this ever-growing lineup has now been announced in the form of Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Jetpack Trooper. Game Rant can exclusively share the first look at the upcoming figurine, which is based on the design of the eponymousenemies fromStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. Identified by assortment number VC #334, the model is 3.75 inches tall and comes with two removable accessories: a blaster and a short-ranged booster pack.
Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Jetpack Trooper Overview
The Jetpack Trooper’s joints are articulated, allowing for a fairly wide variety of display configurations. Granted, not all collectors will necessarily want to remove the figure from its retro-looking packaging, which features a gold-tinted portrait of the Trooper. Hasbro still isn’t ready to commit to a concrete release date for this newly unveiledStar Warscollectible, having merely said that the toy is planned to hit the market in fall 2024.
But the company is planning to open pre-orders much sooner than that, starting at 5pm ET on Saturday, July 27. Collectors will be able to place an advanced order on the Jetpack Trooper via Hasbro Pulse and the toy manufacturer’s licensed distributors. The figure will retail for $16.99.
The company’s recently releasedStar Wars: The Vintage Collection figureshave predominantly been priced at $16.99. While those based onStar Wars Jedi: Survivorwere often a bit more expensive, that was usually on account of them being larger than this newly unveiled 3.75-inch Jetpack Trooper. Hasbro recently revealed anotherStar Wars Jedi: Survivorcollectible in the form of a three-pack comprising the IG-100 MagnaGuard, Super Battle Droid, and variant B1 Droid. That particular offering is scheduled for release on November 1 as part of the Star Wars: The Black Series line, priced at $69.99.
