The protagonist of theNarutoseries, Naruto Uzumaki was born with a nine-tailed fox sealed within him. Although the fox had tremendous power, it was largely considered a demon and even an accumulation of hatred, meaning it made Naruto’s life quite hard. Although Naruto did receive powers from it occasionally, the price to pay was always huge as the seal would grow weaker and Naruto would start to lose himself.
Evidently, Naruto wasn’t born with any power which he didn’t have to work for to attain.The Nine-Tails took years upon years to befriendand even though he was born with large chakra reserves of the Uzumaki clan, he didn’t have any Kekkei Genkai. These powers are incredibly special and are usually limited to a specific bloodline such as the Sharingan of the Uchiha or the Byakugan of the Hyuga. Towards the end of the story, however, Naruto finally got his hands on Kekkei Genkai and not just one of them, but three.

How Naruto Received His Kekkei Genkai
Naruto’sFourth Great Ninja War saw Naruto get tremendously stronger in more than just one way. Not only did he improve upon his Sage Mode massively, but he also received a portion of the Nine Tails' chakra, making him significantly stronger than before. Naruto first received control of the beasts' power after fighting him but gradually, Kurama’s trust in Naruto grew during the climax of the war, and together, they become significantly stronger.

Despite that, however, it was nowhere near enough to stop the likes ofMadara Uchiha and Kaguya Otsutsuki. Even at his best, Naruto was easily disposed off by Madara and put in a near-death state when Kurama was extracted from him. Thanks to Sakura, Gaara, Obito, and Minato, Naruto somehow survived imminent death, but the time he spent unconscious was quite significant as he got to meet the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki. After hearing the entire tale of Kaguya Otsutsuki, along with Asura and Indra, Naruto was gifted half of the Sage’s power, and the other half went to Sasuke.
Having already received a portion of the Tailed Beasts' chakra previously,Naruto was able to attain the Six PathsYang powers and after waking up, he had gained access to not just a significant boost in power, but also three different Kekkei Genkai, all of which were used by him in the fights that followed.
What Naruto’s Kekkei Genkai Do
Naruto’s Kekkei Genkai stem from the chakra of the Tailed Beasts that he has within him. Although using these abilities primarily in battle isn’t his go-to style, he did make extensive use of them during the Fourth Great Ninja War and even at times inBoruto: Naruto Next Generations. The very first Kekkei Genkai fans got to see him use was Lava Release which he received from the Four Tails, Son Goku’s chakra. Immediately after returning to the battlefield, Naruto took on Madara in a fight and was able to overwhelm him completely. He then incorporated his Lava Release chakra into the Rasenshuriken, making it even stronger than before. In fact, Naruto’s Lava Release Rasenshuriken was able to cut through not just Madara but the entire God Tree as well.

Shortly after, Naruto was seen making use of Magnet Release, which belongs to Shukaku, the One-Tail. By incorporating it in his Rasengan, Naruto was able to create the Magnet Release: Rasengan and this jutsu had Shukaku’s cursed seal all over it.
This seal is known to be quite powerful, and its biggest asset is its incredible sealing capability. When used by Naruto on Madara Uchiha’s Limbo shadows, he was able to seal them away completely, which just goes to show that this Kekkei Genkai immediately became one of Naruto’s biggest powers.
Finally, Naruto also received the power of Boil Release since he had access to the chakra of Kokuo, the Five Tails. He made use of this Kekkei Genkai during his fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki. By using Boil Release: Unrivaled Strength, a Jutsu that temporarily boosts the chakra of the user to their boiling point, Naruto was able to break free of Kaguya Otsutsuki’s Ice Release Jutsu and not only match her blow for blow but also overwhelm her for a period of time, which was quite impressive to see.Naruto continued to make use of his Kekkei Genkaias the fight went on.
As long as he has access to the chakra of the Tailed Beasts, Naruto will always have access to the power of these three Kekkei Genkai. InBoruto,he lost the power of Kurama, however, his contact with the other Tailed Beasts could still be intact. In that case, his three Kekkei Genkai should still be with him. However, it is possible that after losing Kurama, he doesn’t have the means to contact them anymore which would mean that Naruto has lost his Kekkei Genkai. For now, fans can only speculate on whether these three incredible powers still rest within Naruto or not.
