Trouble in Paradise is one of fourCorel Region side queststhat become available during Chapter 12 ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Completing it will require players to thoroughly explore two of the game’s six regions and then take down three fairly challenging fiends on behalf of Costa del Sol’s corrupt mayor.

The side quests also sees the party reunited with Mireille; one of manyFinal Fantasy 7 Remakecharacters to make an appearance inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. It has the potential to be a fairly long side quest when all’s said and done, but the rewards arguably make it worth the player’s while.

How to Start the Trouble in Paradise Side Quest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Players will be able to find Trouble in Paradise on the Costa del Sol Community Noticeboard once they’ve reachedChapter 12 ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. After accepting the job, they’ll want to head into the nearby building and speak to Mayor Kapono, who’ll ask Cloud and the rest of the party to deal with some unruly fiends that have been terrifying beachgoers recently. He’ll also ask that they “take care of” the merc who he’d previously paid to get the job done, as they’ve apparently been using the money he gave them to live it up around the resort.

How to Craft the Legendary Bait in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

By this point, players shouldn’t be at all surprised to learn thatthe merc in question is actually Kyrieand will be able to find her partying down on the beach without a care in the world. When confronted, she’ll explain that she’s tracked the monsters down to a nearby stretch of shoreline and was just waiting for somebody to take care of them for her. Unfortunately, however, to get them to show up, players will need to craft some Legendary Bait, which requires aGreat Malboro Tendril, aJabberwock Horn, five sprigs ofPearl Ginger Root, and fiveEther Onions. Those last two ingredients are pretty easy to come by, but finding a Malboro Tendril and a Jabberwock Horn may require a bit of work depending on how thoroughly players have been exploring the game’s open-world sections up to this point.

It’s possible that players will have already acquired all of the ingredients needed to craft the Legendary Bait, in which case, they can skip the next two sections. However, those who are still to face off against a Great Malboro and/or a Jabberwock or anybody who has already used the items they got from defeating them should read on.

How to Get Great Malboro Tendril in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Great Malboro Tendril Location)

Players will receive a Great Malboro Tendril for defeating or morphing a Great Malboro, which can be fought as part ofClassified Intel: The Sultan of Stench. To unlock this World Intel objective, players will need to scan all of the Lifesprings in the Gongaga Region and then head to the area marked on their map. Once there, they can hold Triangle to summon the beast. The Great Malboro is weak against Ice attacks, so players should be sure to set up their party with this in mind. It’s also a good idea tostay behind the Great Malboroas much as possible in order to avoidits devastating Bad Breath attack.

How to Get Jabberwok Horn in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Jabberwock Horn Location)

To get a Jabberwok Horn, players will need to defeat or morph a Jabberwock, which can only be fought as part of theClassified Intel: The Wyvern AwokenWorld Intel objective. To unlock this fight, players will need to find and scan every Lifespring inCosmo Canyonand then head to the battleground in the southwestern part of the region. The Jabberwok is weak against Fire attacks, so players should use this to their advantage as much as possible during the fight. Doing so while its Gorgon Shield is active is particularly effective; as not only will this pressure the Jaberwok, but also remove its shield entirely.

How to Beat the Sea Devils

Once they have everything they need, players should craft the Legendary Bait, after which, they’ll need to head to the Off-Limits Beach just outside ofthe main Costa del Sol resort. There, they’ll find an old marker buoy half-buried in the sand and will be given the option to set the bait upon approaching it. Doing so will lead to two Sea Devils coming out of the water and attacking the party, though neither should pose too much of a threat. This is becauseSea Devils are weak against Ice attacks, which players can exploit to wrap things up fairly quickly when compared to the previous two fights. Inflicting lightning damage will make them a bit more passive too, though it’s better to just focus on hitting them with Ice attacks from afar.

Trouble in Paradise Rewards

After defeating the Sea Devils, players should head back to Kyrie and let her know that the job is done. Mireille will turn up and the two will talk for a while, after which, they decide to head back to Midgar to help the people of the slums. Once they leave, players can report back to Mayor Kapono, who’ll reward them with a copy ofSecrets of the Ninja Vol. VI. He’ll then be called away to attend to some rather pressing business, at which point, players will get10 Party EXP,3,300 EXP,and animproved relationship with Yuffie. They’ll also unlockthe Sand and Circuses side quest, which can be triggered via the Community Noticeboard in the Dustbowl.
