Unfortunately, for players looking to try out this weapon type, there are few options available in the DLC. One of the standout ones is the Smithscript Cirque, a backhand blade that can be obtained fairly easily and without fighting any bosses if you know where to look.

InElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree,Smithscript Cirque is a new weapon of the Backhand Blades weapon type.In addition to having the Backhand Blades moveset, as a weapon of the Smithscript line, the blades can be thrown at enemies, giving players a spammable ranged option. It scales incredibly well with DEX (S Scaling on Keen affinity), making it a powerhouse with the right set up. Occult is another good option for players going anArcane build.
The Smithscript Cirque can be upgraded usingSmithing Stones to +25, and can benefit from spell-based or consumable weapon buffs.

Smithscript Cirque Weapon Skill: Blind Spot
The Smithscript Cirque Ash of War isBlind Spot, which can be changed. A new Ash of War introduced in SOTE, it is unique to Backhand Blades and currently one of the best AoWs for these weapons. It leans into the DEX leanings of Backhand Blades, allowing players to weave in and out of enemy range in quick bursts. Although useful in a skilled player’s hands, Bloodhound’s Step is easier to use and is an overall better investment.
This weapon skillcosts 9 FPto cast, and cannot be chained into a follow-up attack.
Leap into close quarters to take advantage of the enemy’s blind spot and gore them from the side. Inputs determine which side you strike from. This attack slips below the opponent’s guard.
Where To Find Smithscript Cirque Location
InElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, theSmithscript Cirque can be found in the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past, located directly southeast of Castle Ensisin the location shown above. Players will only be able to access this dungeon after entering Scadu Altus, either by defeating Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, or by using thesealed spiritspring shortcutin the Gravesite Plains.
To find the Smithscript Cirque inside the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past, here are the steps you need to take:
From the Site of Grace, progress through the small tunnel and activate the lever on the far side of the room (opposite where youfind the Smithscript Spear). Drop down and head northeast through the door that just opened. Run past the Flame Slime protecting the tunnel and turn right at the next fork. Avoid or kill the Gem Golem holding the lava pot over its head and venture deeper into the tunnel.
The trick to beating Gem Golems is to stagger them first and then use backstab on the red gem on their backs.
Climb the ladder to your right just before the tunnel ends in the room with the second golem and aSomber Smithing Stone [7]. Walk up the rubble in the next room and head into the tunnel on the right. Pick up theSmithing Talismanin the room to the left, but be wary of falling slimes.
Drop down onto the bridge below, take out the Golem and the Slime, and activate the lever to lift the door to the next chamber.
The tunnel will end in a dark room with two Gem Golems standing guard over a waterfall, dropping down into a chasm. There is a purple item on a corpse just before the fall. This is the Smithscript Cirque. Avoid the Golems and pick it up.
You can alsoobtain the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatswordby progressing further into the dungeon.
