The Gongaga Region is one of the more tricky regions inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The forests and foliage in Gongaga make it extremely complicated to reach a specific location. Also, it is impossible to explore the region without the Jungle Chocobo.
TheGongaga RegionProtorelicrequires players to go through the combat simulator of the Turks. There are four locations in total that players have to visit. In this guide, players will find all the locations along with detailed instructions on how to complete the challenges forthe Gongaga Region Protorelic.
Gongaga Region - Phenomenon Intel 1 Location
Thefirst Phenomenon Intel is located to thesouthof the Gongaga Region. It is not far from the reactor, so players can opt for fast travel and then cover the rest of the distance on foot or on a Chocobo. Players will reach the Cliffside Storehouse cache first. From there, go right, and you will find an entrance that leads to an underground facility. In this simulation, players will have to survive three waves of enemies.
After completing a Phenomenon Intel, make sure to open the chest in the room.
Gongaga Region - Phenomenon Intel 2 Location
The nextPhenomenon Intelcan be found to thesoutheast of Gongaga Village. Players need to fast travel to Activation Intel 2, then go north until they find a hill. Climb it anduse the Chocoboto jump from the mushroom. Players should find a rope that will lead them into the second training facility.
During the cutscene, players should pick “Interrogate Him” out of the three choices. After starting the simulation, players will have to withstand three waves of enemies. Once you have beaten the challenge, open the chest and claim the reward.
Gongaga Region: Phenomenon Intel 3 Location
To findPhenomenon Intel 3, players need to head to thenortheastof the Gongaga Region. Luckily, this area is rather simple to reach, so players won’t have to spend too much of their time finding a way inside. In this simulation, enemies are a bit stronger, but players should be able to take them down if they attack their weaknesses.
Gongaga Region: Phenomenon Intel 4 Location
Thefinal Phenemon Intelcan be found near the ruins, which lie to thesouthwestof the Gongaga airstrip. On the way to the facility,you should see a Chocobostand. From there, go north, and you will find thefourth Phenomenon Intel. This time, players won’t have to fight regular mobs; instead, they will have to take on Rude and Elena in the simulation. The two are dangerous, but not infallible. They are susceptible to electric and wind-type attacks, so make sure to exploit their weaknesses. Aftervanquishing the Turks, there will be a cutscene, and you will obtain theGongaga Region Protorelic.
