The author of the series, Togashi, has made sure to make the power system incredibly expressive, with each type having different abilities that it can offer to the users. Enhancement is certainly one of the most simple ones, however, it is also the most exciting and impressive.Enhancement allows the user to enhance their bodies, as is quite obvious from the naming, and, as such, gives them a significant physical boost. There are quite a lot ofpowerful enhancement-based techniquesthat fans have seen in Hunter x Hunter so far, and quite a lot of them have been already listed down below. However, there are a few others that deserve a mention of their own. With that, this list has been updated.
17Wing’s Nen
Wing is a powerful Enhancement type Nen user who fans saw at the very beginning of the series. He was trained by Biscuit Krueger, and his control over Nen is immense enough to teach it to someone else. While fans have not seen Wing make use of his Nen properly, he has demonstrated his Hatsu as being strong enough to crack a wall without even trying.
At full power, Wing is most likely very powerful, given that he was trained by Biscuit and that his understanding of Nen is as great as it is. In the future, fans can only hope that Wing ends up playing a bigger role in the story and that they get an opportunity to see how great his Enhancement based Nen abilities are.
16Erigeron
Erigeron is a powerful ability that belongs to a hunter named Bill. Bill is seen in the manga in the Succession Contest arc as he is assigned as a bodyguard tothe 14th Prince of the Kakin Empire, Woble Hui Guo Rou, and his mother. Bill is quite an intriguing character and he also possesses quite a lot of strength, otherwise he would not have been given a job so prestigious.

Bill certainly possesses quite a lot of skill when it comes to the usage of Nen and he is an Enhancer as well. His usage of Enhancement nen has not been seen all that much in the story just yet, however, fans have seen a very intriguing ability that he has performed, called Erigeron. Using this ability, Bill can accelerate the growth of a living being and all he has to do for that is to close his palms and place them over any being that he wants to accelerate the growth of. For instance, fans have seen him use this ability on a seed inside a glass of water. With the power of Erigeron, he was able to make the seed germinate and then sprout immediately after. His ability is incredibly unique and while it might not be the best power for close-quarters combat, it can be used on other living things as well, making its utility extremely high. Bill can also use this power on other humans to improve their Nen abilities.
15Black Widow
Black Widow is quite apowerful Enhancement type of Nenability that is utilized by none other than Palm Siberia after her transformation into a Chimera Ant. Although this technique lacks the offensive punch of the others in the series, it is quite an incredible means of defense.
It allows Palm to use Manipulation type of Nen on her hair to wrap it all over her body. The hair then makes use of Enhancement type of Nen to strengthen and, at the same time, boost her defense to sky-high levels. Palm becomes extremely difficult to injure when she’s in this state, as seen during the Chimera Ant arc of the series. At the same time, this allows her to solely focus on Ko while fighting, which makes it one of thestrongest nen abilities.
14Tornado Top
Tornado Top might not be the most incredible or flashiest ability to be seen inHunter x Hunter, but it is still impressive to a certain degree. This technique was first seen by the fans during the Heaven’s Arena arc, where Gido, its user, fought quite often.

To perform this technique, Gido spun on his peg leg and used his enhancement aura on his body, making it more powerful and, at the same time, boosting his durability as well. The top of his body was described to be powerful enough to intimidate those coming into contact with him while the bottom could repel any average opponent, protecting him in the process. This technique was, undoubtedly, one of the very strongest that Gido had up his sleeve.
13Nobunaga’s Nen
Nobunaga is a member of the Phantom Troupe which automatically makes him one of thestrongest Nen usersin the entire story. Although he is quite powerful, Nobunaga has not fully demonstrated his capabilities. Fans do know, however, that he is an Enhancement type of nen user.
Nobunaga uses his Enhancement nen with his sword to increase his power and, at the same time, also on his body, as seen when he took Gon on in combat. Surprisingly, Nobunaga’s Enhancement skills so far don’t appear to be on the same level as Gon’s as he ended up losing a battle of strength to him, showing that his nen was indeed inferior. However, it is entirely possible that fans will get to see better techniques from him in the future.
12Merman Clairvoyance
One of the most useful Enhancement abilities in the story so far, Merman Clairvoyance is an ability of Palm Siberia that has a requirement of feeding her blood to a Merman corpse.
Once the prerequisites are met, Palm’s vision is enhanced quite drastically and she can observe any target of hers from anywhere using her crystal ball. Although this technique doesn’t enhance her physical strength, it certainly does increase her vision dramatically and is actually a very useful ability to have.
11Feather Blades
An ability of the Chimera Ant officer Rammot, Feather Blades' Nen type remains to be unknown, however, it is possible that it sees the usage of Enhancement type Nen.
Using his Nen, Rammot is able to strengthen the feathers on his arm to such an extent that they turn into extremely powerful and sharp blades, suggesting usage of Enhancement. Rammot’s primary Nen type is also Enhancement, which further increases the chances of this ability being enhancement type.
10Tiger Bite Fist
Tiger Bite Fist is one of the most impressive Enhancement type power seen inHunter x Hunter. Introduced during the Heaven’s Arena arc, this ability belongs to none other than Kastro, who was once a floor master at Heaven’s Arena. Using his Nen, Kastro could enhance his hands and bite into the enemy using them as a tiger would.
In terms of power, it was certainly strong enough to ensure that Hisoka took him seriously. Sadly, Kastro didn’t spend enough time training this power which is why its full potential was never reached.
9Ripper Cyclotron
Ripper Cyclotron is a powerful Enhancement type ability used byone of the members of the Phantom Troupe, Phinks Magcub. Phinks certainly isn’t the best Enhancer in the Phantom Troupe, however, his usage of this Nen type is certainly more than decent.

Ripper Cyclotron allows him to deliver a powerful blow by enhancing his physical strength the more he spins his arm before hitting someone. This ability is extremely useful against most enemies, however, its usability is certainly not the best.
8Big Bang Impact
Used by Uvogin of the Phantom Troupe, Big Bang Impact is an incredibly powerful Enhancement ability that saw him coat his fist with Ko, making it extremely dangerous.
By channeling a tremendous amount of aura into his fist, Uvogin could deliver a blow with terrific power. The power generated by Big Bang Impact has been compared to that of a small missile and that just goes to show how terrific a weapon Uvogin had up his sleeve.
