The “Choose Your Destiny: Finesse” trailer is just under a minute long but it gets the point across nicely. Following the Finesse branch of character growth is going to make combat a sneaky mix of up close and personal with some distant damage. Like most stamina heavy classes in Fantasy RPGs, the build bases itself on a mix of stealth and archery which both present strong options for those not willing to jump into battle. The other bonus of Finesse is that lockpicking becomes a much easier exercise.
The “Finesse” trailer is likely just the start of a series exploring the options at a player’s disposal. WhenKingdoms of Amalur: Reckoningfirst released close to a decade ago, it sold itself on the openness of player builds and the freedom in class choice. Stealth is just one way to battle throughAmaluras the tapestry if fates bend to the player. While Finesse is the first, players can expect “Might” and “Sorcery” Destiny overviews and maybe even a bonus one that combines them.
With only a minute to show off one “Destiny,” it doesn’t fully display the strength of a system thatmadeAmalura critical darling.Kingdoms of Amalur’s Destinies allow for builds that utilized a mix of numerous skills with classes adapting to what the player grows. While Finesse, Might, and Sorcery are the macro stats, it is through growing all skills that players can experiment with classes and styles.
