Nintendo of America’s YouTube page released a trailer entitled “Welcome To Merry Magoland!” which details a new mode within the game. Merry Magoland is a theme park of sorts that houses a collection of mini-games for up to four players to enjoy. The selection includes two new sub-games and eight old ones which make for a diverse multiplayer Kirby experience.Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxeadds value to its multiplayerwith this announcement.
The Magoland Tour option gives off some minorMario Partyvibes, but in short doses. In Magoland Tour, the players get to pick four mini-games to compete in succession to see who comes out on top. It sounds like a good break from adventuring, but it also feels like a fun diversion on its own. Expect to see many gamers flock to this mode and turn it into a party experience. Booming Blasters seems to mimic an arena brawler, so it looks to have the most potential of creating competition within the player base.
WithKirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxeshaping up to be one ofNintendo’s big releases in 2023, the announcement of a mini-game collection such as this contributes to the hype. With the remaster also offering online multiplayer options, the excitement for the game’s release only grows within the community. Ideally, while the title follows the same story and characters, the new elements introduced could change the experience slightly. Hopefully, Nintendo follows this same model and improves on the core for future entries in the franchise. Kirby is a fan-favorite mascot that has a huge following, so games involving the character would benefit.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxereleases on February 24 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
