Similar to the classic Monoliths of Fate, their Empowered versions reward the player with a specific type of item, but the endlessly increasing corruption ensures a hard fight and better rewards, regardless of your level and skill. To start, you must complete several level 90 challenges.
How To Reach Empowered Monoliths in Last Epoch
To unlock Empowered Monoliths inLast Epoch, players must complete Normal versions of the following Monoliths of Fate: Spirits of Fire, The Last Ruin, and The Age of Winter. These monoliths arelevel 90challenges, so you will need better gear and a good build to complete them. Additionally, you won’t be able to reach these challenges very quickly. Once you reach the main island in The End of Time, slowly move along the monoliths until you reach the ones you need.
Once you’ve completed all three level 90 Monoliths of Fate, head to the small island between them and interact with the chest in the center.By completing these steps, you will permanently unlock Empowered Monoliths and be able to choose this difficulty option when choosing challenges. This is quite convenient, since you can always return to a lower difficulty level to farm enemies for Prophecies.
Regarding the differences between monolith versions, the first thing worth mentioning is theCorruption indicator.If the level of corruption varies from 0 to 50 in regular tests, then the same indicator in the Empowered version starts at 100 and can increase indefinitely. This feature ensures that no matter your training or equipment, these challenges will give you the same thrill that a newcomer in a high-level location feels.
It will be difficult for you to survive, but the reward will be worth it. Like regular Monoliths, each Empowered Monoliths guarantees aspecific item type. The colossal difficulty level increases your chances ofgetting the rarest lootand unique items available only in this mode. So when you reach the post-story and find Monoliths of Fate too boring, you know where to head.
