Season 2 episode 14 ofSouth Park, “Chef Aid,” features a storyline in which famous attorney Johnnie Cochran employs the “Chewbacca Defense” to win legal battles. The Chewbacca Defense basically boils down to Cochran pointing out that it doesn’t make sense forChewbaccato hang out on Endor with Ewoks, and how it doesn’t make sense for him to be bringing it up in court. It’s meant to confuse the jury into ruling in favor of Cochran’s client.
When players reach theReturn of the Jediportion ofLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, one of the missions in the level is called “Chewbacca Defence” in reference to thisSouth Parkepisode. Of course, this is just one of many pop culture references hidden throughout the game, and considering all the differentLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagacharacter interactionsthere are, it’s quite likely that more are waiting to be found.
