LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais releasing in just a few weeks from now, and all signs point to it being the largest LEGO video game title yet – marketed by Traveller’s Tales as a wide, open-world sandbox set in theStar Warsuniverse. Traveller’s Tales is no stranger to makingStar Warsvideo games– as its first ever LEGO project happened to be an adaption of the prequel trilogy – released on March 29th in 2005.
Ever since this particular subgenre of LEGO games was conceived, one of its highest strengths was the chance to play as almost any character, no matter how minor, from one’s favorite franchise. Latter games, starting withLEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, even allowed players to create their own custom character to roam the game world with.LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawill be no exception in this regard, and will feature a stacked cast of characters from all threeStar Warstrilogies.

Even though playable characters that would show up inThe Skywalker Sagawere purely a point of speculation until now, thanks to the efforts of a user on Instagram named Falcon Fan 1414, the full list of characters has been leaked. From the Twi’lek Jedi Master Aayla Secura, to even the most obscure of background characters like Willrow Hood, the game offers a lot of options for the players to explore this tightly-connected open-world sandbox.
An abundant cast means that players will have a lot of parts to choose from when it comes to building theircustom LEGO characters inThe Skywalker Saga, and once combined with the free roam game mode allowing them to take those characters to many iconic Star Wars locations across a numerous list of planets, the game’s potential skyrockets to its peak.
Perhaps the most disappointing yet completely reasonable omission is the lack ofClone Wars,Rebels,Rogue One,Solo, orThe Mandaloriancharacters, given the popularity some of them have achieved over the years such as Ahsoka Tano, Din Djarin, Grand Admiral Thrawn, or K-2SO. Thankfully, Traveller’s Tales has left the door open to introduce those characters through post-launch character packs or DLCs.
Between a completerework of the HUD inThe Skywalker Saga, a large cast of characters, and the promise of the game’s open world, there’s a lot to be excited about for fans of LEGO video games, or evenStar Warsfans.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagareleases August 04, 2025, for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
