Disney Plus dropped a teaser trailer featuring snippets of some of its streaming releases coming in 2023, includingLoki,The Mandalorian,Ahsoka, and a couple of new and not-so-new faces from the likes of Pixar.
After a less than stellar 2022 that saw many of Disney’s animated films underperform and its MCU slate not living up to fans’ expectations, the company is looking forward to course-correct with some of Disney Plus' heavy hitters returning next year, includingLoki. That includes new series from Pixar, exclusive movies heading straight to Disney Plus, andBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverlanding on the platform.

Nevertheless, what will have many fans on Twitter most excited is finally getting to see the first properlook at those leaks fromLokiseason 2, including a scene where Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson are rocking some pretty fancy tuxedos. Din Djarin and Baby Yoda are also back, withThe Mandalorian’s return scheduled for March 1. However,Ahsokamight edgeThe MandalorianorThe Bad Batchin terms of anticipation fromStar Warsfans, butSkeleton Crewis still nowhere to be seen.
One Disney project that will surely catch many eyes isPeter Pan & Wendy, who get a ton of screen time here, comparatively speaking, since it will haveGreen Knightdirector David Lowery adapting the beloved classic. A second season of theUpspinoffDug Days: Carl’s DateandWin or Losewill make up Pixar’s streaming offerings. Furthermore,Cratertackles the sci-fi genre, and an adaptation of theAmerican Born Chinesecomics rounds off everything in the 30-second teaser.
The MandalorianandLokiare about as close to guaranteed hits as Disney Plus has in store, with the two being the most-watched shows on the platform since it launched, so surely most speculation will fall onto the rest.Peter Pan & Wendycould be subject to scrutiny, considering Disney’s last attempt at revivingPinocchiothis year fared so terribly with critics and audiences, especially if put up next toGuillermo del Toro’s Pinocchioon Netflix.
One thing to keep in mind is that the two Pixar productions showcased here are series instead of movies, perhaps suggestingBob Iger’s return as Disney CEOis already playing its part, as the animation studio saw all of its films, save forLightyear, head directly to Disney Plus under Bob Chapek.
Lokiseason 2 is expected to premiere on Disney Plus in mid-2023.
