Once players defeat Donkey Kong for the first time inMario vs. Donkey Kong, they’ll unlock the second world, Donkey Kong Jungle. To gain access to Level 2-MM and get the Mini-Marios into the toy box, gamers will have to complete Level 2-6 first.
To move onto the next level, fans only need to grab the Mini-Mario on the other side of the locked door, but those who would like to 100 percent complete the game have to make sure that they get all three gifts first. This guide will tell players which steps to take in order to collect everything in Level 2-6.
Area 1
As soon as players start the level, they’ll notice thefire-breathing Piranha Plantsright above them. They must reach the top wire without getting hit by a fireball. To do this, they’ll have toperform a Wire Jump, which means they have to hold the analog stick up and then press the Jump button once Mario starts spinning rapidly. Once at the top, they have to jump up and get ahold of the rope so that they can grab onto the Monchee’s tail to get to the other side.
How to Get the Red Present
Players will see another Monchees going back and forth. Their next step is toactivate the blue switch once the toy monkey walks over the red blocks. This will cause the enemy to fall, which is necessary to grab the key and the gift found in this area. Next, players will have to grab the rope and go down while avoiding the Piranha Plant’s fire. Then, they’ll have to grab the Monchees tail in order to get across to where the key is located.While crossing, they will inevitably touch and collect the red Present.
How to Get the Key
Once they’ve reached the other side, they must jump onto the RamRam to be able to pick it up, and then they have to throw the enemy onto the spike. This will allow them to grab the key, use the RamRam as a platform, and safely move to the other side to open the door and enter the next area.
Area 2
Players will be able to safely climb up the first set of ropes, as both Piranha Plants in this area are facing right. This is a good opportunity to activate Free-Scroll Mode and take a good look at the layout of the area.
How to Get the Blue Present
To get the red gift, players must first climb up and activate the blue switch. Then, they just have to go down the rope on the right and hop onto the blue platform.
To climb faster, hold onto two ropes at once. To descend faster, hold on to a single rope.
How to Get the Yellow Present
To get the yellow Present, players have to climb up to the platform right above the first Piranha Plant, activate the red switch, go down to where the blue platform would be, jump off the rope. Here, players must be careful and try to avoid the yellow switch, as this will deactivate the red platform above.
Gamers then have to jump onto the spring so they reach the wooden flooring above; the yellow Present sits on the red platform. After getting the gift, players have to hop back down and activate the yellow switch.
How to Get the Mini-Mario Toy
With the yellow switch turned on, gamers can attempt toget the 1-Up Mushroom on the yellow platform. However, this can be risky as there is constant fire from the Piranha Plant on the left. To dodge the flames, players will have to crouch whenever it gets too close. The Mini-Mario sits just above the green mushroom, andplayers can get it by climbing the rope on the left once again and jumping on its platform.
